Scope and Limitations
The aim of this study is to identify the coping mechanisms of students to academic stress. The
scope of this study encompasses different coping mechanisms that deal with academic stress.
Specifically, the researchers determine the different coping mechanisms of grade 10 students. By
focusing on this particular level, the researchers aim to gain insights into the specific coping
mechanisms to academic stress of students. This study is limited to the grade 12 students as

In this table self-esteem, most statements show a significant relationship with the null
hypothesis rejected, and the r values vary in degree of correlation. Positive correlations like "I
have strong and supportive relationships with the important people in my life" (r = 0.18) and "I
feel secure in my financial situation" (r = 0.20) suggest good relationships and financial security
may be linked to higher self-esteem, while negative correlations such as "I am able to build
meaningful connections with new people" (r = -0.26) and "I felt some stress, but it was
financial aspects, the mostly negative r values indicate an inverse relationship between variables
and financial factors, "I have strong and supportive relationships with the important people in my
life" (r = -0.20) and "I find working collaboratively with new people to be a rewarding
experience" (r = -0.20) suggesting positive social experiences may be associated with lower
financial concerns. In terms of time management, most statements show a significant relationship
with the null hypothesis rejected, but "I find working collaboratively with new people to be a
rewarding experience" (r = 0.28) and "I felt some stress, but it was manageable" (r = 0.37) show
a non- significant relationship with the null hypothesis accepted, meaning these factors may not
directly impact time management, and the other statements have varying r values indicating
