a) What are fundamental physical quantities?
b) If two forces 15 N and 25 N are acting on a body. What could
be the maximum and minimum resultant force on the body?
c) Write the expression for the general wave equation.

2. Explain about any three dimensionless numbers and their
importance in fluid mechanics.

7. What is wavefront? Distinguish between the division of wavefront

8. What is diffraction? Discuss the Fraunhoffer diffraction at a single
slit?

9. What is the interference of light? Mention the conditions required
for constructive and destructive interference of light.

10. Explain construction and working of a Helium Neon Laser.

11. What is population inversion? Explain the necessity of population
inversion for lasing action.
