Introduction

Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation. A Senior High
School student has to undergo work Immersion in an industry that directly relates
to the students post- secondary goal. Through Work Immersion, the students are
exposed to and become familiar with work related environment related to their field
of specialization to enhance their competence. Specifically, the students are able
to (i) gain relevant and practical industrial skill sunder the guidance of industry
experts and workers; (ii) appreciate the importance and application of the
principles and theories taught prepare school; (iii) enhance their technical
knowledge and skills; (iv) enrich their skills in communications and human
relations; (v) develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, and respect for
work. These them to meet the needs and challenges of employment or higher education
after graduation. Academic institutions are faced with challenges particularly on
the skills they produced which do not match the needs of the industry.

OBJECTIVE OF WORK IMMERSION

Work Immersion aims to expose students to the workplace, apply acquired


competencies, and develop work habits. It also aims to help students discover
themselves jumpstart their professional growth, and increase their self perceived
work potency.
The objectives of work immersion include providing students with real
workplace experience, developing relevant skills and competencies, increasing, and
allowing students to apply what they have learned in a non- school scenario. Work
Immersion aims to expose students to the workplace, apply acquired competencies,
and develop work habits. It also aims to help students discover themselves
jumpstart their professional growth, and increase their self - perceived work
potency. Work Immersion enables students to acquire and develop skills such as
teamwork, communications, attendance and punctuality, productivity and resilience,
initiative and proactivity, judgement and decision making , dependability and
reliability, attitude, and professionalism.

VALUES AND ATTRIBUTE OF STUDENTS IN WORK IMMERSION

4. To be professional even though you are just a student in a work in a immersion

IMPORTANCE OF WORK IMMERSION

Work Immersion is important because it prepares senior high school students


for college courses and future careers [1]. It helps build students
awareness,interest,and readiness for their preferred college courses [2]. Work
immersion also develops competencies,work ethic , and values relevant to pursuing
further education and/or joining the world of work [3]. It allows students to
acquire and develop skills such as teamwork, communication, productivity and
professionalism [4]. Additionally, work immersion provides students with
opportunities to apply what they have learned in a non- school scenario and
experience social interaction in a work environment [5]. It also helps students
strengthen their skills or expertise, preparing them for future careers.

COMPANY HISTORY

The history of TESDA started in 1994 when the legendary Republic Act 7796 was
signed also called the " Technical Education and skills Development Act of 1994".
It wasn't an entirely new institution, though, but the results of the evolution of
the already existing system of the government agencies. According to the document,
TESDA resulted from the merger of three structures: NMYC, BTVE-DECS and DOLE. The
agency was to operate the sphere previously served by these structures Philippines.
It was one of the major predecessor of TESDA , but not the only one.

In summer of 1963, the Bureau of Vocational Education (BVE) was formed.


Three years later the Manpower Develop Council (MDC) was established which was
later replaced by the National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC). Another TESDA's
predecessor or was Bureau of technical and Vocational Education (BTVE) founded in
1982.

MISSION

To deliver competency assessment with professional competency Evaluation


Services equipped with facilities that adhere to the standards and principles of
TESDA.

VISION
To become a nationally - recognized Assessment Center by providing excellent
competency assessment service to it's stakeholders.

CORE VALUES

To be the most reliable assessment center in identifying candidates with the


greatest potential in performing various scenario and tasks that match the
competencies required.

TESDA LOGO

The Technical Education and skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the


Philippine government agency responsible for technical education and skills
development sector. The TESDA logo conveys the institutions mission with the help
of symbols.

PROBLEM ENCOUNTERED

Personally, so many problems that I encountered during work immersion like


they fighting using electric fan it really was frustrating my part because I don't
have the courage the reprimand may co-boarders and also I didn't them very well

RECOMMENDATION

For those who are incoming Grade 12 and going to take the immersion brace
yourself for changes. It may be little changes it will surely have a huge on your
life. Just enjoy the experience don't mind the hardship and make sure to always
learn from all the lesson
