Head Coach Derek Brown Today’s Match-Up

Coppin State takes on the University of Miami for the second consecutive season. The Hur-
ricanes lead the all-time series 4-0 against the Eagles. In last year’s meeting, Miami edged out
a 63-58 victory over Coppin State. Every contest between the two teams has been played in
Coral Gables, Fla. This is the third Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe the Eagles have faced
this season after battling N.C. State and Wake Forest.

Coppin State Season Preview

The Eagles return seven players from last season’s team that won 17 games and advanced
to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championship game last year. The returnees
include senior forward Bria Harris and juniors Janelle Lane, Jordan Swails, Tanaysa Henderson
and Omaah Tayong and Amber Griffin along with sophomore Keena Samuels. Coppin State
