BLHC 4032 CRITICAL & CREATIVE THINKING (2, 2, 0) 1.0 COURSE OUTCOMES By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 discuss basic principles of critical and creative thinking skills in solving daily tasks (A2, CS). apply the tools for critical and creative thinking in problem solving and technical innovation (C3, CTPS). respond in group discussions on issues related to the development of critical and creative thinking skills (P3, CS) solve problems in case studies relating to contemporary issues in their field of study (C3, CTPS).

SYNOPSIS This course is designed to acquint students with the basic principles of critical and creative thinking in solving problems and technical innovation. Students will be exposed to the utilisation of the right and left hemisphere of the brain. Topics to be covered include the importance of critical creative thinking ,human brain, thinking skills, mind-mapping, tools for critical and creative thinking in problem solving. PRACTICAL APPLICATION During this course, students will take part in group discussion, role play, field study, case study and project work which involve application of critical and creative thinking tools in solving problems.
