Topic 7: Communication for Various Purposes

After watching the video about “Mastery: How to Learn Anything Fast”
by Nishant Kasibhatla, I can say that the deliverance of his speech was excellent.
In terms of the organizational pattern, the objectives and purpose of the speech
were achieved and met which is specifically to help anyone learn faster and
successfully share his tips that helped him achieve his goals. The speaker was
easy to hear, he display confidence, poise, and give emphasis to the information
to motivate the audience. I am also amazed by the way he set a concrete example
and illustrations on how to train our brain not just by always learning or putting
inputs, but also by reflecting, implementing and sharing our gained knowledge.
From the moment he started to speak up until the end, the speaker was being
accurate, knowledgeable, confident and able to connect with the audience.

Furthermore, a four-minute video entitled “Speak Confidently” by Dan


Lok was also an excellent and motivational speech. The speaker deliver the
message confidently and in a unique way, so that he can continue to keep the
audience’s attention throughout the duration of the speech. The presentation was
also organized and the objectives were met which are to share his formula on
how to be fluent in English and learn how to gain confidence in public speaking.
Although the video was just too short, there is still conciseness and completeness
of his speech. Overall, I can say that both of them, Mr. Nishant Kasibhatla and Mr.
Dan Lok, was indeed a good and effective speaker.
