ABSTRACT
This report explores the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), a program
initiated by the Nigerian government to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical
work experience for tertiary institution students. It delves into the history, objectives, and
significance of SIWES, highlighting its role in preparing students for the demands of the
industrial workforce. The report also analyzes SIWES implementation across different sectors in
Nigeria, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the existing system and providing
recommendations for improvement.
In addition, this report introduces the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Nigeria's
national radio broadcaster. It provides insights into the history of FRCN, its organizational
structure, and the range of services it offers. The report underscores the essential role played by
FRCN in broadcasting and its contribution to journalism and media professionalism in Nigeria.
Furthermore, the report dives into specific work carried out during attachment, focusing on
studio recording and maintenance. It details the steps involved in studio recording, emphasizing
the preparation, tracking, editing, mixing, and mastering phases. Additionally, the report explains
