The Impact of Technology on Human Learning

Education nowadays is an area where technology has changed the face of learning,

enabled advancement but also disadvantaged (Burbules et al. 95). Unlike the old method of

accessing books and encyclopedias from a school or library, the Internet provides unlimited

information and attracts learners through different interactive platforms. Online learning, tailored

by adaptive software, provides course material for students relevant to their needs and promotes

the development of self-management skills. Digital equipment like smartboards and educational

gamification items diversify teaching techniques, promote active classrooms, and increase

interest and understanding of the material.

Although technology in education may have advantages, it is accompanied by some

concerns. The digital divide largely aggravates imbalances and digitally separated communities

that have a minimal number of technological tools. In addition, the abundance of online sources

creates an equalization of credibility among the audience. It also raises an issue of digital literacy

in detecting fake information.

While looking to the future, technological advancements such as AI and blockchain

generating greater chances to make educational systems more innovative are

significant. Although the accessibility problem and digital know-how development are big tasks,

ensuring that digital strategies are appropriately utilized should be the primary target.

Technically speaking, technology has completely changed the conditions of the human

learning process, giving a broad spectrum of self-educational tools and individualizing

educational programs for each student (Shenoy et al. 700). Although it might bring about some

problems, it is still possible to introduce active technological measures that will allow technology

to enhance inclusive and responsible education.
