EARLY REGISTRATION
To: All Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel
1. Pursuant to Paragraph V, Enrolment Procedure of DepEd Order (DO) No. 3, s. 2018 titled,
“Basic Education Enrolment Policy, the Conduct of the Early Registration for incoming
Kindergarten , Grades 1, 7, and 11 learners in public schools and In line with DepEd Order
No. 009, s. 2024, “Implementing Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the
School Year 2024-2025”, this office announces the Early registration for Incoming
Kinder and Grade 1 learners for School Year 2025-2026 on January 25 to
February 15, 2025. This early registration shall be guided accordingly by DepEd Order
No. 03 s. 2018 titled “Basic Education Enrolment Policy”.
2. The objectives are to:
a. reach out to all 5-and 6-year-old children to ensure their enrolment
for the SY 2024-2025 in Kindergarten and Grade I; and
b. guarantee enrolment of Transferees, Balik-Aral, and ALS Learners.
3. The following guidelines should be observed:
a. Kindergarten learners should be at least 5 years old by June 1, 2025,
the extension period shall be until August 31, 2025.
b. Kindergarten completers will be accepted in Grade 1.
c. Children who have completed the Kindergarten Catch-Up Program
and deemed ready for Grade 1 based on the School Readiness
Assessment Tool shall also be registered.
4. The birth certificate of the child shall be the documentary basis for early registration. If
not available during the Early Registration Day, the document can be submitted within
the school year. The same document is required for other children and youth who have
never been to school.

5. In the absence of Birth Certificate, a barangay certification containing the basic
information of the child such as: Name of the child, Name of parents, Date of Birth,
and Sex should be submitted.
6. The conduct of early registration shall be done through face-to-face transactions
with the school.
7. Daily updating or encoding in the Early Registration facility in the learner.
Information System (LIS) shall be done with the assistance of the School LIS
Coordinator.
8. Teachers may also encode in the Early Registration facility the prospective enrollees
for other grade levels (Grades 2-6) based on the previous school enrolment to get the
overall picture of the expected enrollees for the next enrollment.
