About AIRBNB
Airbnb, as in
“Air Bed and Breakfast,” is a service that lets property owners rent out their spaces to travelers looking for a
place to stay.

Travelers can rent a space for multiple people to share,


a shared space with private rooms, or the entire property for themselves.

Airbnb is based on a peer-to-peer business model. This makes it simple, easy to use, and tends to be
more profitable for both parties

The model also gives you the opportunity to customize and personalize your guests’ experience the way you want.

In order to know if it is efficient we have chosen a
person who has never used airbnb or any similar
application, and we have calculated the time and
difficulties he has had during the process.

Efficiency I have taken my mother who is 42 years old, she did not
know what it was or how it was used.

It took her 8 minutes to do it and she rarely had any


trouble doing it.
Steps
In order to observe this, we will first put the app
to the test, choose a random destination and
check how many "clicks" it takes to book a room
in a hotel. The chosen destination is Rome,
Italy.

1. First of all, when we enter the app we find


the home page, where we can see several
sections such as: cabins in the countryside,
with views, wagons… Above is the search
engine and there we look for Rome, Italy
2. In that same page you
have to select the days,
dates and number of trips,
once this is done you just
have to click on search.
• 3. Then you will see a map and more
than 1000 possible accommodations
below.
4. Once you know where you have to
stay, there you will find all the necessary
information about that place and
important data such as price, number of
rooms, bathrooms…
5. To make a reservation just click on the
button below that says reserve
Once you have done that, it will send you
to a page where you get all the
information about what you are going to
book and then you get the options that
you can pay, select one, and click on
confirm and pay.

Results

We have observed that there are a total of 5 pages within the app and that
means that in order to make a reservation we need to make a total of 8 clicks.

From my point of view I think that this app can be used by any kind of person of
any age because it is quick to use and the instructions are clear.

It is necessary to know if the users know how to use it
and how they interact with it. If the app is difficult to use,
people will not use it.

intuitive Objective of the test:

Our main goal with this test is to be able to analyze if


people who have never used this app find it efficient and
clear the app.

To test the consistency, we made a survey asking questions about the
color theme of the app, font, interface..etc. This survey was answered

Results
From these answers, we learned that the general consistency of the
app is good. The color theme matches and stays the same, the font is a
good size , the icons are clear. When you click on an icon it tells you
what it means, or it says it underneath the icon. There´s icons and
pictures to make it clearer…

Intuitive design is human-oriented and drives
actions and emotions. Airbnb's design team
found a very subtle, almost transparent way to
