PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MATATAG K TO 10 CURRICULUM
Objective(s):
• Be familiar with the different types of animation in MS PowerPoint
• Create a simple presentation with animation.
Duration: 20 minutes
Instructions:
Learning Task #1: Read the following text and have it applied through hands-on activity.
You may animate text, graphics, shapes, tables, SmartArt illustrations, and other
objects to liven up your presentation. Simply adding a special visual or audio impact,
such as entrance and exit effects, size and color changes, or even movement, can
make an item animated.
Animation can help you control the information flow in your presentation, highlight
important topics, and pique the interest of the audience. Entrance, emphasis, exit,
and motion path are the four different types of animation effects available in
PowerPoint. These represent the point at which the animation should start.
The Animations gallery contains a list of many of PowerPoint's animation effects. Each
effect has an icon that describes how it operates. The following four groups comprise
the Animation.

Entrance This animation feature controls how the objects or text will
appear on your slide as it enters or as it is shown in the
presentation. You might, for instance, have the slide titles
progressively fade in as the slides are displayed or have
individual lines of text fly in from the side of the slide.
Emphasis The way the audience's eye is pulled to the animated item
depends on emphasis effects. You could, for instance, have a
line of text move in a wave-like pattern or make a picture
pulse or spin.
Exit The animated objects' method of exiting the slide is
determined by exit effects. For instance, a slide could be
turned off by an image that bounces or shrinks.
Motion Paths Your text or other items' movement around the slide is
managed by motion paths. You may, for instance, direct an
object to move up and down, in a particular shape, or even
along a path you designate.
Assessment:
Performance Task:
Directions:
1. Open MS PowerPoint Presentation and create a new Blank document
2. Create a Master Slide: Have this Heading “Welcome to my Presentation”
3. In the next slide, type in your name, in the sub-placeholder type in your birthday and
address.
4. in the next slide, type in Thank you!
5. Apply animation for entrance, exit, emphasis, and motion path.
6. Save your work according to the naming convention and folder directory given by your
teacher.

PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MATATAG K TO 10 CURRICULUM
Objective(s):
• Create a presentation with motion path animation.
• Value the importance of animation in creating presentations.
Learning Task #1: Read the following text and answer the following questions:
Motion paths provide you complete control over an object's movement, whereas effects
like Fly In and Fly Out only allow you to some degree.
You can choose from a wide variety of pre-made motion courses and forms, and you
also have the option of designing your own path. An arrow with a green and red tip
indicates the start and end of a motion path.
Here are some motion paths that you can try on:
Loops – Text or object moves along the path of a specified loop shape.
Custom Path – text or object moves along the border of a specified loop.

Assessment:
Performance Task:
Directions:
1. Open MS PowerPoint and create a new and blank document.
2. Create a Master Slide. Put the Heading: Motion Path
3. Type in your Name on the next slide
4. Duplicate your slide in 5 copies with your name on it
5. Insert shapes on each slide copy that you made. You can customize and format the
appearance of your presentation.
6. Apply motion path on the shape objects such as line, arc, shape, loop and custom
path.
7. Save your work according to the naming convention and file directory to be given by
your teacher.
Formative Assessment:
MULTIPLE CHOICE: Identify what animation is being described in the following items. Write
your answer on a separate sheet of paper.
1. What is the start and end point of a motion path indicated by on an object?

PILOT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MATATAG K TO 10 CURRICULUM
Objective(s):
• Identify the part of the animation pane.
• Appreciate the importance of being familiar with the animation pane.
Duration: 25 minutes
Learning Task #1: Directions: Read the following text and answer the following questions.
You may quickly examine a list of all animations on the slide as well as details
about the effects, such as the type of effect, duration of the effect, and more, by
displaying the Animation pane.
To display the animation pane, click on the animation Tab and click the
animation pane option in the Ribbon.
Basically, if you have already animation effects applied to your presentation your
window/pane would likely appear like this.
The order in which you applied animation effects to the slide is reflected in the
Animation pane, and this is also the order in which they will play.
