JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Executive Director, Valencia CF


Location: Valencia, Spain (Headquarters)
Reports to/Hierarchical dependency: Shareholders' meeting of Valencia CF

Job Purpose:
The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational
management of Valencia CF, ensuring the alignment of club goals with business,
sporting, and community objectives.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Lead the overall administration and daily operations of the football club.

• Develop and execute the club's long-term strategic plan, in collaboration


with senior management.

• Oversee all departments, including sporting, commercial, marketing, and


operations, ensuring alignment with the club’s mission and values.

• Ensure financial stability by managing budgets, sponsorships, and


commercial partnerships.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including


sponsors, media, and partners.

• Represent the club in public and media events, conferences, and meetings.

• Collaborate with the football manager and technical staff on player


recruitment, development, and overall sporting strategy.

• Work with the club’s board to implement corporate governance and


compliance with relevant regulations.

• Lead and manage crisis situations or conflicts, maintaining the club's


reputation and public image.

• Ensure the welfare and safety of players, staff, and fans by maintaining
proper risk management protocols.

Essential and Desirable Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or


related field.

• Proven experience (at least 1 years) in executive management within


football, sports organizations, or a related industry.
• Deep understanding of the football industry, including operations,
sponsorships, marketing, and governance.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

• Leadership and people management skills.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.

• Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibility.

• Strong networking and public relations abilities.
