Personal profile

Dedicated. Dedication is ‘the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose’. I believe I represent this characteristic within my life; I
achieve 100% attendance, I commute 2 hours a day for school, I commuted 2 hours for work, I am a loyal friend and never miss an assignment. I
am a hard worker that takes pride in my organisational skills and am always willing to learn something new.

Skills

Organising / Time management

Organisation and time management is crucial for any employee, I believe I present these skills in my daily life. Throughout GCSEs I prepared a time
table that mapped out my weekly revision, which I had began at the beginning on year 11 and continued throughout my exams which allowed my
to be prepared and have a structured routine that maximised my time. I also recently planned a camping trip: this included finding a site in local
proximity, ensuring that everyone paid and was able to arrive on those dates and organising meals that we all continued to. I have also organised
charity events in school within my charity rep role.

Working under pressure

When serving for a ‘tea party birthday’ I had to communicate with my employer when each course had to be served- ensuring all guests needs were
met. This included frequently replenishing hot tea and enquiring which sandwiches each guest would like to order. There was over 30 guests and I
believe I handled the pressure throughout the day specifically when we had to clean up the hall including the dishes within an hour.

Independence
Although I enjoy working within a team, I am an independent individual. Taking public transport can be daunting by one’s self, but from the age of
13 I have commuted from Ruardean to Gloucester and Cheltenham and recently commuted to and around London- reading time tables, planning
my time and building up confidence when relying upon myself. I am not afraid to be independent in situations for example, my parents couldn’t
attend parents evening at the beginning of year 11, so I attended solo. This reassured my confidence at the time due to understanding it would
benefit my education.

Work experience

August 2024 - October 2024

sales stylist - Levi's stratus & co.

My main responsibilities were to assist customers throughout the sales process: greet them at the door, offer them my assistance then inform
them of our promotions. If a customer wanted advice we would offer and I had to use the till and of an evening do a closing shift (clean the store).
If no customers needed assistance I would be required to organise the store.

April 2024

Saturday job at village hall - Pludds village hall

The hall was hosting a 70th birthday party (a tea party). I arrived before the event sat after to help set up tables, decorate the hall and helped make
the cuisine. When guests arrived I had to enquire what they would like to order and served the guest with hot drinks. Throughout the afternoon I
had to serve the food then wash and dry up.

June 2023

Primary school - Ruardean CofE primary school

From the dates 5th of June to the 9th I worked within a primary school, I had the responsibilities of reading to the children (which helped develop
my communication skills throughout different age groups). I also helped observe the children during break/lunch duties (this aided the skill of
responsibility and being observant making sure the children were playing kind and safely). Also during the five days I observed the lessons and
teaching styles within a range of year groups, this presented to me the importance and sense of accomplishment you receive from having a
rewarding job.

It is my responsibility alongside 7 other peers to produce a weekly newsletter for our school. This entails writing a formal report of the weekly

having to be completed by a certain deadline. My literacy skills - gaining more experience writing formal texts and increased my responsibilities in
my school community

November 2023 - June 2024

Anti-Bullying rep
I attended regular meeting addressing the issues of bullying amongst the students and young people in society. I also showed innovation when
creating new ideas which allowed students to feel more comfortable when discretely reporting bullying and addressing the issue of not having easy
website access to support ( I compared our school resources to other schools in Gloucestershire). I additionally learnt that bullying wasn’t only
prevented amongst younger years but also that young girls are also statistically more likely to be the agonist in situations.
