INTRODUCTION

The choice of a man's profession which determines his life and future is crucial. Man must

make a livelihood, and each person does this in their own unique way through their career or

calling in life. There was never a decision issue in this situation before. A man's occupation was

typically determined by his family's job. Thus, the son of a musician became a musician, the son

of a fisherman became a fisherman, and the son of a weaver became a weaver, etc. Even those in

the more skilled professions, such as doctors, nurses, lawyers, and executives, desired their

progeny to fill their shoes. Conversely, as knowledge has grown and societal dynamics have

become more complex, men have been forced to pursue careers very distinct from those of their

fathers or grandfathers. Therefore, a man's choice of vocation is now entirely up to him. This

decision must be made with extreme caution owing that it will alter the course of a human's life.

In a wider sense, we are not professionals immediately. It is, in my viewpoint, an attitude that

evolves over time and learning. Certainly, we can solve the mystery in our textbooks, though, for

me, real-world experience comes from observing and listening to real professionals. Prior to

entering the profession of teaching, one must have experience, expertise, and skills. In this regard,

practice teaching is crucial in preparing an aspirant teacher in the teaching profession. The creation

of a practice teaching course that involves complete immersion in the future educators, notably

those graduating students from the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), Bachelor of

Secondary Education (BSED), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED), and Teacher Education

Institutions (TEIs). A vital factor of teacher preparation is teaching practice. It allows future

teachers to gain practical teaching and learning experience. Before entering the real world of the

teaching profession, a student teacher is offered the opportunity to develop the art of teaching

during this course. Student teachers are conscious of the value of teaching practices and consider

it to be the heart of their preparation for the teaching profession as it serves as the actual interface

between student hood and professional affiliation.

In my comprehension, the practice teaching course's goals are to develop suitable

educators' potential by exposing them to the ground of this profession and helping them decide
upfront if they genuinely desire to be educators as well as to prepare them for the vast array of

responsibilities that come with being a teacher. Generally, one of the toughest but most rewarding

careers in the modern workforce is becoming an educator, especially in recent years. With its

advantages and intellectual motivations, teaching has developed into one of society's most desired

careers. Even with these benefits in mind, one might still want to examine how time-consuming

and emotionally taxing teaching young people can be. Teaching is not only a potentially

respectable profession but also a unique and occasionally lifelong professional opportunity,

together with its rewards and duties. In contemporary times, as the world becomes more diverse,

education must be the catalyst in sewing their differences. To learn is to be literate in a wider sense,

and to achieve this matter, teachers must always come prepared. Indeed, quality education can

only be imparted to professionals in the field for the betterment of society and the world we live

in.
Historical Background of the Cooperating School

Dr. Felipe de Jesus National High School (DFDJNHS) a secondary school. Formerly

named Agnaya High School was officially opened its campus in June 1997. The birth of the school

was the answer to the petition of parents from different barangays of Poblacion Banga I Sta. Ines,

Lumangbayan and Agnaya requesting Congressman Pedro M. Pancho of 2nd District of Bulacan

to help in the education endeavor of their children. These parents were clamoring for the new

establishment of a secondary school accessible to their residence. Since majority of these parents

belong to the low-income bracket, they could not afford to send their children to the private

institution. Consequently these children stop schooling after graduation in elementary.

Realizing the immediate need, the Sangguniang Bayan of Plaridel headed by then Mayor

Norberto J. Oliveros, MD. and Councilor Benjie San Diego together with Sangguniang Barangay

of Agnaya then Barangay Captain Emiterio Sacdalan, Secretary Bernardo Salvador Councilor

Maximo Lazaro and Mrs. Atanacia B. Gumabon (the first principal of DFDJHS) passed a

resolution and proceeded with plans of establishing a public high school in Agnaya. They took

definite procedures to make the vision becomes a reality. First the acquisition of the school site,

construction of classrooms, utilization of human resources and finally the approval of the

Department of Education to establish and operate a school.

The school site which, was originally intended for the Villa Gloria Subdivision's

Playground was donated by the residents of the said subdivision. They agreed to convert the 4000

square meter proposed playground site into a school site. However, the area was not enough to

meet the requirements of DepEd. So, the De Jesus Family upon the initiative of Congressman

Pedro M. Pancho donated 1000 square meters of lot. After having acquired the area, Congressman

Pancho had initially constructed six classroom building under his Countryside Development Fund.
The school started its operation during the school year 1997-1998 as an annex of Jose J.

Mariano Memorial High School, Bintog, under the administration and supervision of then

Principal Mrs. Gumabon. The petition to separate the administration of DFDJNHS from JJMMHS

was granted on March 20, 1998. Since Mrs. Gumabon was administering two schools at the same

time, she had appointed the late Mrs. Florencia F. San Diego as Officer in Charge of DFDJNHS.

Four hundred twenty students enrolled during the opening in 1997 Thereafter, DEDJNHS grew

steadily. With the increase in enrolment, came the need for more teachers, classrooms and facilities

to keep up with the pace. DFDJNHS is located at the western part of the Municipality of Plaridel,

passing through barangay Stma. Trinidad, Banga to Malolos City before reaching the town proper.

It is located within a subdivision fronting Meralco Substation. The school is proud of its

ideal location, so near the bustle of the town's center of activity yet retains the peace and quiet fit

for a school's environment. Today DFDJNHS holds the highest number of enrolments among four

public secondary schools in Plaridel.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
WEEKLY JOURNALS AND DAILY TIME RECORD
The dawn of my practice teaching adventure started this week. I made sure to come

prepared as I entered my Alma Mater, Dr. Felipe De Jesus National High School. First and

foremost, I practiced good grooming and proper hygiene. Prior to meeting different sections from

Grade 7, it is pivotal to exercise health standards in order to ensure and promote a healthy learning

environment. Additionally, I made certain to put a smile whenever I set foot in distinctive

classrooms to lighten the mood and emphasize positive energy towards meeting the learners.

Personally, optimistic vibes is what I manifest as I greatly believe that it can encourage rapport

that will make learning even better with glitter scattered in the young minds of the students.

My first week was rationed for class observation as authorized by my cooperating

teacher, Ma'am Myla Dela Vega. She introduced myself to Grade 7- Sunflower, Cattleya,

Anthurium, Magnolia, and Rose. The discussion was administered by my CT and the MAPEH

component for the week was Health. She let me take notes and observed how she teaches and the

techniques she uses inside the classrooms. Physical Fitness tests and activities were done. My CT

explained and informed me about knowing the health conditions of learners prior to giving

physical excises to prevent injuries and problems. She then let me help in monitoring them and let

me give instructions for a successful flow of the activities which includes planking, push ups,

zipper tests, juggling, and etc. My first week was good and made me excited to look forward to

the weeks of my teaching journey. To end this, as they celebrated Teachers' Day, it was unexpected

receiving an appreciation letter from a student organization. Indeed, my first week was a blast and

a fresh start.
Monday was scheduled for the continuation of Physical Fitness tests. It was undeniable

that students would find it stirring when it comes to MAPEH subject. I saw their excitement

through performing a variety of physical fitness activities. This week, I was specifically grateful

that I have given the opportunity to start presenting lessons on my own efforts. As the alternation

of MAPEH components was implemented, I started my teaching experience for Physical

Education. My topic administered was Athletics and Rhythmic Gymnastics. Honestly speaking,

sports was out of my league. Nevertheless, Bulacan State University as my institution prepared me

in facing my own difficulties. For my preparation, I read a lot of related readings and watched

videos about Track and Field and Gymnastics. I spend much time and effort in doing my task as

student teacher.

As I started my lesson, I had drill activities to increase the level of participation of my learners. I

made them watch different videos, foreign and local which presents the diverseness of different

sports performances. I made sure that the lessons I've discussed was imparted in their minds by

giving them quotation that sums up our discussion. I made my classroom setting student-centered

as I believe that giving them opportunities to share their ideas, perception, and knowledge would

emboss their skills and would enable them to strive more and become competitive in a good sense.

After the lesson proper, I gave them quizzes to test their learnings. I was happy that my teaching

experience was actively participated by the students. I saw by looking in their eyes that they are

excited to be educated. Additionally, we had a long quiz for the Physical Education and Health

components. I encountered no problem with student behavioral aspect aside from them being

rowdy. Generally, I understood their behavior given that adolescents are in the midsts of self-

exploration and discovery.

At the end of my scheduled time, I had a conversation with my cooperating teacher for

the improvements I need to realized. She told me to observe the budgeting of time and praises my
teaching performance with positive comments. I was grateful that my efforts were greatly

appreciated by my students and my critic teacher.

Lastly, the MAPEH club organization held a meeting so our presence is a must. We helped

administrate the assigning of officers as well as welcoming new members of the club and t'was a

success.
For the third week, it was focused on the Arts component specifically the Arts and Crafts

of Luzon. I remembered being electrified with the imagination of giving lectures in this component

as I am an art enthusiast. Now, here am I living in my dream. The preparations are doubled every

day for improvements. I read, listened, and watched informative resources in connection with the

topic. I let them share their opinions, knowledge, and ideas during our discussion to ensure

engagement, attentiveness, and activeness of the class as well as giving them enough time to throw

queries. Students are much alive with the discussion owing that it tackles more about Philippine

artistry with which they are familiar. They gave a lot of information making our discussion a two

(2) way learning process. They learned from me, and I learned from them. With my student-

centered teaching strategy, I was able to recognize who are the learners with greater interest and

talent in this subject. Through Textile and Tattoo making activities, they've acquired the essential

role of the elements and principles of arts in making Luzon's crafts. I made sure that their

comprehension and mastery of the topics were applied as part of the objective of learning. Surely

that with the touch of arts in the curriculum, creative minds inside the classroom will bloom and

produce artwork of harmonious relationships as well as educate the minds of youngsters making

them appreciative of the arts and crafts of our motherland.

📌 WEEK 4 (October 24-27)

As scheduled this week, we've had a quiz in the Arts component. Before entering the

classrooms, I made sure to make a standardized test in accordance with the Most Essential

Learning Competencies (MELCS) which serves as the primary reference for learning

competencies which is essential in the achievement of curriculum content and performance

standards. To prepare the students, I gave them a period of time to review and guided them to

reflect on our previous discussions. As a result, they got favorable test outcomes.

On the other hand, we've also had a periodical exam for all the components of Music,

Arts, Physical Education, and Health. For an engaging interaction, I input the game, "Spin the

Wheel" as a way of calling the names of the learners which added fun to our recap. It aroused their

attention to class recitation and contentedly, they got correct answers for the review session with

enjoyment. My students first felt pressured however, as they are confident with the knowledge

acquired, their efforts were paid off when the periodical test papers were given back to them.

Together with my fellow student-teachers, our head teacher, Mr. Eugenio Garcia

mandated everyone to arrange the modules per grade level assigned to us. It was a good experience

outside the classroom setting. We've got to have a good time together and raised our awareness

about the roles of a teacher aside from teaching the learners. Lastly, before going home, I ensured

to check scrapbooks made by my students for their Art activity. I was able to acknowledge their

efforts and creative hands in making such beautiful artworks.

Subsequent to the long weekend, this week was rationed for the discussion of the Music

component which I'm really passionate about. Since high school, the music subject has increased

my attention to class as I looked at it as a very meticulous and astounding learning experience. In

this sense, I considered it my favorite subject among others. Now that I am the one who will teach

the learners about the curriculum content focusing on this subject matter, I studied harder to impart

my lesson properly. For this week, I tackled the Music of Cordillera specifically for their vocal

and instrumental aspect. In relation to Bloom's taxonomy, learning competencies must be settled

by three aspects which are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor to give the learners the full

development. I taught them its history and background then asked them questions to process their

acquired knowledge. I let them watch real-life performances from the people of Cordillera to drive

them in actuality.

I made sure that my PowerPoint presentations are well done to feed them the information

they need to be acquired. As for my strategy, every definition I gave comprised video presentations

on my PPT followed by the Principles of Design particularly the Spatial Contiguity Principle

which believed that students learn if corresponding words and pictures are near a page or screen.

Placing words and graphics in my presentation enabled my students to grasp and analyze the

lesson. Using technology was indeed a helpful catalyst in disseminating information in an easy

and creative way.

My 6th week at DFDJNHS was spent on the continuation of my Music discussion. It is

a must for me to prepare my instructional materials prior to meeting five (5) sections. As for my

preparation and readiness, I watched documentaries that are beneficial to my teaching process

which tackled the vocal and instrumental music of Mindoro and Visayas Islands. I made sure to

always come prepared mentally and physically to provide my students with the education they

need as a way of promoting our own identity in terms of music. As always, I motivated my class

to be student-centered for them to conceptualize and grasp the essence of our lessons. I let them

share their ideas and knowledge about the prior recognition about Visayan and Mindoro music. It

was an active and full of engagement learning process. My students behaved properly and I didn't

encounter unwanted conduct. I believed that my classroom management was effective as they

respectfully followed classroom rules and protocols. To give them an idea how Visayan music

sounded, I sang "Ili-ili Tulog Anay" a lullaby from the Visayas region to give them an example.

One of the MAPEH teachers and a student-teacher came to my last class. They observed

during my discussion and give positive comments on the latter part. I was grateful to receive such

a motivational utterance. Moreover, the lesson plan I created for my demonstration teaching was

submitted and checked by my cooperating teacher in early preparation for my scheduled date. This

week I considered one of my unforgettable moments in school as it felt like living in the dream, I

once imagined sitting in the same building I am now teaching.

📌 WEEK 7 (November 14-15)

Last Monday this week was scheduled for School General Cleaning. It was a fresh and

a sweet experience. I was able to help unclutter and clean different areas of our school environment

together with my Grade 7 students. It became our time to get to know each other and to familiarize

ourselves with different teachers and students inside the campus. In my perception, building

rapport with people is a very important aspect in creating harmonious relationships towards a

meaningful connection and communication.

Also, I explained our music activity to the class wherein they will be grouped and produce

a performance in relation to the music of Visayas. I required them to improvise instruments to use

which can be found inside their homes following the safety protocols because of the pandemic. I

greatly believed that students could create a good sounded music by being resourceful which is an

aspect to be developed to a child's learning competency. Moving to their production and

presentation, they did a good job for our activity. There are improvements to make specifically in

producing unified harmony however, they did their assignment properly with minor errors which

was later on guided. Overall, I enjoyed giving music activity to the class as it emphasized their

talents as well which added to their confidence to do more and be better along the way.

The next day, student-teachers were assigned to substitute with some classes owing to

the implementation of an exam where our school was chosen to be part of the pilot testing. I was

assigned to Filipino subject. I was given the task to be disseminated to their class. It was a new

experience as I was given the opportunity to meet Grade 9 students. In managing the class, I

encouraged them to finish and complete their work to prevent backlogs. They followed my

protocols and the classes I handled was a success. Without the presence of my cooperating teacher,

I come back and forth with my Grade 7 and Grade 9 students at the same time. It was an exhausting

yet awe-inspiring teaching experience.

As weeks passed by, I was able to have my Arts discussion for the second quarter

specifically the Visayas and Mindoro Art. Firstly, I read their books for the grade 7 level to really

understand the curriculum content and not just by depending on the modules provided for much

more reliable source. It was my teaching routine to have drills, review, and motivation activities

before proceeding to the lesson proper. In this sense, students’ attention arose, and became more

engaged with our topic. Personally, learning should not only be focused on reading and writing

but the use of games and activities will definitely boost their energy level for active participation

in class as seen with my student’s behavior. In handling their conduct inside the classroom setting,

I always remind them of the significance of respect to everyone in order for them to understand

having a good relationship toward a meaningful learning outcome. Aside from giving lectures,

we've also had quizzes to ensure that students acquired knowledge. In my point of view, it's also a

great way to help them to plug the gaps to boost their confidence when it comes to formal testing.

Students can learn what they know and what they don't know by taking quizzes. The students will

then have a better understanding of how well they are comprehending the content, which should

encourage them to study more and enable them to concentrate their study time on the information

that still needs more repetition. From the experience of my students, taking quizzes was a great

way for them to practice and review for the periodical exams which resulted to positive score

outcome.

I also gave an art activity wherein they made Ambahan art. Through that exercise, they

were able to apply their learnings into an output. Surely, it was a fun experience taking students

into the art subject as it promotes the culture and traditions of Visayans and Mangyans.
I was looking forward for this specific week. After we have talked about Music and the

Arts, we then proceeded to Physical Education. I taught the students about Badminton as well as

Arnis sports. For me, it was really a challenge teaching those two as I am not inclined to physical

activities. What I did was watch videos on the internet, the local and foreign ones for my

preparation for my presentation. As usual, I included multimedia in giving my lecture and

discussion. I believe that with the use of technology as my companion in the learning setting,

curriculum content will be taught in creative manner but with the mastery at the pinnacle as well.

Afterwards, a test was administered to further analyze the knowledge grasped by the students.

Moreover, aside from verbal discussions, we were able to execute acquired information

through performance activities. The students executed the basic skills of badminton and arnis

sports as entrance level as more comprehensive practice of different skills in mentioned activities

will be taught in accelerating years in junior high school. I made sure to firstly remind them safety

protocols before, during, and after their performance which was held on the open area inside the

campus in prevention of injuries and unwanted outcomes. To summarize the happenings during

this week, it was full of perspiration and enjoyment. I was grateful that no one got hurt and the

physical activities were successfully done through proper class management.

In preparation with my final demonstration, my cooperating teacher gave me this week

to fully prepare everything I need before the exact date. My instructional materials were

completely done last week. During the process of producing different materials, I searched a lot

and sought advice from my mother. Afterwards, I started creating the IMs including the

PowerPoint presentation ahead of time owing that procrastination can ruin my final demonstration.

I strongly believe that making everything beforehand is a sign of great passion from what I am

trying to achieve. I cannot express the excitement I felt in the midst of making my teaching aids.

As the day passed by, the time I was looking for finally came. From what I remember, pressure

left my league unexpectedly and one word can describe that day, it was a "Sunny day". It was the

rays of sunlight that gave me directions of what I have and need to do in the class and it was the

morning breeze that calmed everyone down inside the classroom which led to a bright end. I made

everything normal and as usual from the beginning of the discussion until the latter part. Classroom

management was implemented and different activities added fun to our learning session. I also

made sure that it is student-centered that embossed their creativeness and active cognitive and

physical aspect.

During my classes which tackled about Health component specifically Nutrition During

Adolescence, I made certain that my learners developed holistically for them to achieve education

to its extent. It was also commendable how my students behaved from my designation up until my

final demonstration teaching. They may be noisy numerous times, but they still understood the

learning significance and the role it plays in their lives. I can proudly say in accordance with their

academic performance results in the class, that my teaching strategies were a triumph. I was

grateful to be part of their life in school. Truly indeed, my practice teaching experience was

fleeting. Nevertheless, the memories and lessons I've gained will forever be kept in my heart and

mind.
The 11th marked as my last week at Dr. Felipe De Jesus National High School. Different

emotions congregated. The phasing was fast for me not to realize that farewell will come at any

given time. On the other hand, we've got to finish our 2nd quarter lessons from different

components of the MAPEH subject and what we've done was a simple activity for health.

Instructions were clearly verbalized, and questions were entertained for a translucent activity. I

also made certain that the review of the lesson was tackled before proceeding to the actual activity

for their minds to be refreshed.

Every time I gave them tasks, I made sure to give them enough time to accomplish their

work inside the classroom setting as we are aware that when we give it as homework, most of them

would not comply or submit their activities on time so it was our intervention made. As a result,

in accordance with my records, numbers of passers were documented. I therefore conclude that in

the span of my teaching experience, interventions must be prioritized as it is a way to help children

achieve favorable academic outcomes. It is the responsibility of a teacher to make choices that are

beneficial to the learners and a way of motivating them to develop academically. No one should

be left behind. Moreover, as we finally finished the second quarter, they held their Christmas party.

Every section was kind enough to invite me. I saw how they are looking forward to the day when

vacation starts.

Indeed, the experience I've had in my Alma Mater is indescribable. The tiredness I felt

were covered with genuine happiness whenever they greet me starting from the morning until I go

home. Their smiles fueled my passion to continue my teaching career whatever it takes, regardless

of how hard it can be. Their eagerness in learning increased while my love for this field gradually

grows. Candidly, being an educator from my perception is the hardest profession. As days and

nights are occupied with paperworks and alike. However, it offers great reward when seeing

students developed holistically. Educators became part of the learner's life. They are the farmers
who plants knowledge to a thousands of lands and they are the people that bridges the students

from ignorance to intelligence.

DOMAIN 2. Learning Environment

The learning environment is not literal in its definition. It cannot only be found inside the

four corners of a room setting inside an institution or a school. It is the physical, psychological,

social, and emotional environment in which all learners can engage in different learning activities.

In my point of view, it is where the knowledge is scattered and planted to be found with great

effort by different individuals in the school setting. A learning environment is a place where the

growth and development of learners start to emboss and bloom. It is a catalyst in disseminating

information to the minds of the students. The learning environment offers a vast description or

explanation. Even so, in a general sense, it aims to foster the betterment of the learners to its extent.

In the promotion of a positive learning environment, teachers at the pinnacle are expected

to take part. The creation of a learning atmosphere where students are inspired to learn while

adhering to the rules and expectations of a safe classroom is another crucial duty of the instructor.

Students are motivated to act morally and support one another when a safe environment and clear

standards are modeled and encouraged. To keep students engaged and invested in their own

learning objectives, teachers must place a strong emphasis on intrinsic motivation in the classroom.

Extrinsic motivators also assist students in comprehending classroom standards and intrinsic

motivation. Praise, constructive criticism, and awards for exemplary behavior are examples of this

type of motivator. In light of this, the management strategy and demands of the instructor have a

significant impact on the classroom environment. In a setting where the facilitator has lost control,

students cannot learn effectively. For learners to grasp rules, borders, and how to learn safely, the

teacher should be extremely explicit about the objectives and consequences for classroom

behavior. Students can make informed decisions and accept responsibility for their behavior when

the teacher's management strategy is fair, systematic, and well-organized.

As I experienced in my practice teaching at Dr. Felipe De Jesus National High School,

the student's behavior is interconnected with the teacher's way of classroom management. When I

made it translucent to my learners about my rules and protocols in class, they respectfully followed

which resulted in a more systematic and organized learning. In addition, I built rapport firstly with
my students as I believe that having good relationship with them will make learning more

comfortable and promotes safe and healthy bond. In that sense, their self-esteem increased as I

observed and they became more engaged in classroom participation.

Aside from the teachers, school personnel and administrators plays big part in creating a

safe space for the learners. When school is in order, clean and neat, physical condition benefits

them. It will be a fresh place to start learning with away from the diseases that might hinder the

goal of education. Indeed, a clean and well-maintained institution helps produce future leaders,

successful professionals, and better people.

Lastly, to promote holistic development of the students, it must start with the help of their

Parents. They should provide support as it fuels the activeness and motivation of their children on

campus to their daily tasks and academic performances. Based on my experience, there are

individuals who are unmotivated to attend class owing to the absence of parental support and

guidance. One of my students also ended up being a dropout as a result of lack of assistance. I

therefore conclude that I learned through my experience that every student entails their own story.

Home should be our first learning environment as parents are entitled to be our first teachers. In

line with this, a safe learning environment produces outstanding learners equipped with physical,

mental, emotional, social, and spiritual knowledge. However, it can only be achieved if support is

given unconditionally.
DOMAIN 3. Diversity of Learners

Similar to crayons, learners have their own color representation which displays their

distinctive characteristics. Every student inside the classroom can be seen as a whole but differs in

their experiences, beliefs, culture, tradition, and values, as well as their learning capacities and

capabilities. Diversity is more than skin color, title, race, and social status but individual

differences that make them unique from one another. Some may perceive diversity as

marginalizing individuals. Nevertheless, in the present time, diversity is embraced positively as it

challenges the learning environment in facilitating dissimilarities inside the classroom setting.

The moment I step foot in my Alma Mater DFDJNHS, I expected to encounter diverse

students due to the fact that public schools are perfect spaces for accepting and recognizing a

multitudinous range of learners as the goal of education is to provide them quality instructions and

edifying their minds through presenting different subjects for their personal improvement and

advancement. There are learners who captured the lessons from different components of MAPEH

subject efficiently and comprehensively, some encountered difficulties in realizing the essence of

our topic and the rest needed more attention to come up. As my duty, I ensured to explain my

lessons comprehensively with added activities for fun and excitement to encourage them to

participate in classroom discussions. I see to it to promote equality and neglect having favoritism

as I consider that fairness will always bring the best out of my students which will manifest in their

future endeavors. With regards to their physical attributes, I wasn't really expecting to encounter a

student with a handicap making him unable to do some physical activities.

Therefore, as a practice teacher, I tried to make interventions ahead of time specifically

during intensive Physical Education class but surprisingly, my student was able to do different

sports including Badminton and Arnis in an effective way. As new to the field, I learned that

extrinsic motivation can inspire anyone regardless of their condition. It is the teacher's strategy

how to motivate and facilitate learners to execute curriculum content in a successful way. On the

other hand, I made it clear to them that social status, race, or title are a great foundation of personal

development however, it should never turn to bullets striking your fellowmen.

By acknowledging and respecting individual differences, educators can support learning even

among varied diverse learners and ensure that each student can achieve the desired educational

objectives.
DOMAIN 7. Personal Growth and Professional
Development

"Quality teaching induces quality learning". Human personality, mental processes,

interpersonal relationships, and readiness for life events are all developed by education. A quality

education not only imparts knowledge but also broadens your horizons, improves your viewpoint,

and empowers you to make your own decisions. Furthermore, education sharpens our minds,

supports our ideas, and bolsters our morality and interpersonal actions. Education is thus a

component of human evolution. It is, as we all know, a crucial component of everyone's life in the

modern world. People become more valued and knowledgeable as a result of their education. Every

person's life can only progress with knowledge indeed and receive the same value from it. It is also

perceived that every human has the right to education and enjoy its benefits. Without learning,

existence can become unbearably challenging. In this sense, quality education is induced by quality

learning which can only be achieved if an educator is equipped enough to fit in the job.

Teachers are essential to the development of a country. Societies may produce holistic

learners who are immersed in values, endowed with 21st-century skills, and capable of advancing

the nation to development and advancement through the employment of quality teachers. In my

perception, the standards prior to becoming an educator should be elevated as they are responsible

for producing highly competent and efficient future leaders. Based on my experience at

DFDJNHS, the teachers are passionate about their profession as seen by their eagerness in teaching

their classes. Regardless of their age, they are still active and complying with their duties in the

field. I have learned that an educator should value personal growth as it is the foundation of making

oneself ready and prepared for the tasks required to them. In order to develop personally, an

individual should recognize his/her strengths that can be used to make learning more engaging and

meaningful as well as inspiring to the learners and weaknesses which can be their ladder in making

progressive decisions. Truly, an aspiring teacher should focus on self development as they will be

role modes to students. If someone is lacking in different aspects, it can be a hindrance in

disseminating the essence of quality education. However, if they are fully aware of themselves,

the lackings can be avoided or prevented leading to an excellent classroom management. On the
other hand, I believe that a teacher must also value their own professional growth by striving to

demonstrate a high level of respect for the field by upholding characteristics that preserve the

dignity of learning, such as compassion, respect, and integrity. In addition, based on the advice of

my cooperating teacher, to develop professionalism, one must attend seminars to acquire present

information as the curriculum is progressing to its extent. They must continue their educational

attainment for a more comprehensive learning process. Teachers value their personal and

professional reflection and learning to improve and enhance their practice in and outside the

classroom setting. They assume responsibility for personal growth and professional development

for lifelong learning.

Lastly, I have learned through my practice teaching experience that a teacher can be

equated to a soldier as their objective is to protect their people by being equipped by knowledge

and strategic management. Students are instruments that in order to function and create a

wonderful sound, must be played by a knowledgeable musician in the field which is similar to an

educator. Undeniably, a professional teacher produces outstanding learners. Thence, requires great

effort to fit into the job.

The pinnacle of a person's needs is education, which improves life in every aspect. It

provides a full understanding of how to handle issues that arise on a daily basis and eliminate

ambiguities. It quenches our hunger for knowledge and points us in the direction of enlightenment.

In my viewpoint, effective teaching is the foundation of effective learning. It should cater to the

needs of learners by utilizing a variety of ideas and methods for a diverse population of students.

Education involves a lot more individuals than just students and teachers and extends far beyond

the confines of the classroom setting. Wherever people go, they should be constantly learning, and

they should keep learning even after completing high school or college. Indeed, education is

something that people carry with them rather than something that can be measured with tests or

report cards.

As a beginning teacher, I comprehended that school is greater than a place where students

go to acquire knowledge of reading and writing. It is also a space where students develop and

improve their social and communication skills, this is why I concluded that stimulating classroom

environment will help students excel inside and outside the classroom. In a classroom context,

teaching should be well organized and structured, as facilitators should know the materials and

develop standardized goals and teaching approaches. It should provide students with direction,

guidance, and incentive in order for them to develop and improve holistically. To accomplish our

goals, it should also stimulate an

individual's cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions, as well as guide learners to the

phase of self-learning.

On the other hand, I also concurred with the two philosophical perspectives in education

that became my inspiration in the process of teaching with my cooperating school which includes

Constructivism and Progressivism. Firstly, Constructivism, is an approach in learning where

students are actively constructing and making their own knowledge. Based on my experience, I

always made my classroom student-centered believing that they will be able to make decisions

and knowledge in accordance with their efforts in the learning process. I provided data and

experiences for them to hypothesize and analyze. Through experience, students had personal
constructions of meanings which I believe is a good indicator of being a responsible and

independent learner with the guidance of a facilitator. Additionally, students actively constructed

and transformed their own knowledge based on their past experiences and prior learning. As a

result, the classroom was interactive enough to be filled with information processed and produced

by the learners. Secondly, Progressivism. I greatly believe that democracy in school improves the

way of life of the students and their learning process. In this sense, education should focus on the

whole child rather than on the teacher's content. Teaching the learners with skills are more

important than facts and information to prepare them in real world. In application, active

experimentation will help students test their ideas, so it is the duty and interventions of the

instructions to guide them. Progressivism allows a child to be free-thinking individuals, so they

become problem solver and thinkers instead of spoon-feeding them what they are required to know

and do. A learner-centered classroom will surely produce intellectual, competitive, and creative

individuals for our future success.

Additionally, as a beginning teacher, I therefore, conclude that an educator must be

knowledgeable and have mastery in his/her subject matter as this is a good indicator of the effective

learning of the students. I am aware that a successful teacher needs to have a profound

understanding of how the discipline's knowledge is produced, organized, and interconnected to

other disciplines. Nevertheless, I encouraged my learners to examine, analyze, synthesize, and

evaluate what they read and heard by exposing them to critical thinking techniques and drawing

on my expertise in the field. Also, I would like to emphasize that teachers must secure a good

relationship with the learners. Being not just a mentor but a listener and a friend will widen the

definition of being a teacher. If a student feels comfortable with the instructor, they will be able to

express themselves genuinely and it will activate their learning progress to its extent. In this field,

educators must continuously keep abreast of new developments in the teaching profession. In fact,

a skilled instructor frequently contributes to the development of new information. I gained that I

have to constantly reevaluate and enhance my teaching strategies if I desire to carry out this idea.

I must be a student of society and the dynamic environments in which students live if I are to stay

in touch with them, their lives, and the institutions where they will pursue their careers. Candidly,

a teacher must have a powerful faith in the future. In that sense, the eagerness to teach will always

be present as education prevails global success.
