General Environment Assessment


• What is your current virtualization platform (VMware, Hyper-V, Physical, etc.)?

• What is the total number of VMs, physical servers, and storage systems?

• Are there any mission-critical workloads requiring high availability (HA)?

• What are your uptime requirements? Can we schedule downtime for migration?

• Do you have any licensing constraints for OS, hypervisors, or software?

Storage & Data Considerations


• What storage architecture are you using (SAN, NAS, vSAN, DAS)?

• How much total storage capacity is used and available?

• What are your performance requirements (IOPS, latency, throughput)?

• Are there encryption or compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)?
