IMPORTANCE OF HIGHER/ TECHNICAL

EDUCATION
Higher and technical education, play a pivotal role in personal and
societal development. As the world becomes increasingly complex
and technology-driven, the importance of advanced education,
encompassing universities, colleges, and technical institutes, is
undeniable. Higher and technical education, provide individuals with
specialized knowledge and skills that are essential for professional
success and personal growth.

One of the foremost benefits of higher education is the acquisition of

in-depth knowledge in a specific field. This specialized knowledge
equips individuals with the expertise needed to excel in their chosen
careers. Whether it's engineering, medicine, law, or information
technology, higher education institutions offer rigorous curricula that
prepare students for the demands of the professional world.

Higher education also plays a significant role in promoting social

mobility and economic stability. A college or university degree often
leads to better job opportunities and higher earning potential.
According to numerous studies, individuals with higher education
qualifications tend to earn more over their lifetimes compared to
those without.

Technical education, specifically, addresses the skills gap in various

industries. As technology continues to evolve, there is a growing
demand for professionals with specialized technical skills. Technical
institutes provide targeted training in fields such as computer
science, engineering, healthcare, and vocational trades, ensuring that
graduates possess the practical expertise required by employers. This
alignment between education and industry needs enhances job
readiness and reduces unemployment rates.

DAY 11 (14/08/2024) – LAST DAY

In my efforts to raise awareness about dengue fever among children, I
emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment to prevent the
spread of the disease. I explained to them that dengue fever is caused by a
virus transmitted through mosquito bites and that these mosquitoes breed in
standing water. To combat this, I encouraged the children to actively participate
in keeping their surroundings clean by ensuring that there are no open
containers, such as buckets or pots, collecting water around their homes or
schools. I also stressed the importance of regularly cleaning and covering water
storage containers. Additionally, I reminded them about the use of mosquito
repellent and protective clothing, particularly during the rainy season when
mosquitoes are more prevalent. Through these discussions, I aimed to
empower the children to contribute to the safety and well-being of their
communities by taking simple yet effective steps to prevent the spread of
dengue fever.
