Rockwell Automation Drives Database Files Release Notes

CCW / Add-On Profiles

October 2021 Update

 This release adds the following database files to the respective database installers:
o V6.005 755T
o V11.001 7000-2
o V4.001 22-HIM-A3 Series C
 The following database installers have been updated as a result of the above changes:
o UDCAllDevices.msi (**Recommended**)
o Contains EVERY available database file used in Connected Components Workbench
o Contains EVERY available database file used in Logix Designer including:
 PowerFlex 755T starting with v20 of Logix Designer
 All other PowerFlex drives starting with v31 and higher
 Miscellaneous non-Powerflex devices including SMC-50
o Requires up to 1.28 GB of hard disk space
o The following installers are subsets of UDCAllDevices.msi and are provided for users that do not
need to update for all available devices and prefer a smaller, more specific download.
o NOTE: You do NOT need to download & install these files if you download/install UDCAllDevices.msi.
o UDCPowerFlex750-Series.msi
 Contains the updated PowerFlex 755 T database files
 Requires up to 376 MB of hard disk space
o UDCPowerFlexMV.msi
 Contains the updated PowerFlex 7000-2 database files
 Requires up to 168 MB of hard disk space
o UDCDSIPeripherals.msi
 Contains the updated 22-HIM-A3 Series C database files
 Requires up to 0.98 MB of hard disk space

Refer to the tables attached to this document for details of what each installer provides.
Drive database files are needed for offline use with the associated drive software tool(s). Since drive
firmware releases can occur at any time, new drive database files need to be made available between
software releases. If you are using a drive software tool and do not see a specific firmware version of a
drive available, you have two options:
1. Download and run the appropriate database file installer(s) listed above.
2. Drive database files will also be created automatically by the drive software tool if you connect online
with a drive that does not have a database file for that particular version of firmware.

Application Notes
Installing drive database files – Download the desired install file. Double-click on the file to run the installer. The
database files will automatically install to the database location on your PC.
