An expository text is also called an exposition. It is an essay or
speech in which any topic is discussed in detail. The term
"exposition" is derived from the Latin word exponere, which means to
set out. It is related to the word "expose", which means to uncover, to
look closely at, or examine the parts.

Analytical exposition is a form of expository. It is a text that informs

explanation about specific subject which should be supported by
facts, data, and evidence in detail. An analytical exposition
evaluates a topic critically but focuses only on one side of an
argument. Its idea should not be based on opinion or personal
thoughts, but it should be based on scientific facts that may come
from books. articles, and journal.
Social Function of
Analytical Exposition
The purpose of analytical exposition is to analyze the topic and persuade the
readers to have same view point with the writer. In other words, it persuades
the target readers to look at an issue with your point of view. It analyzes a
topic and convinces that the thesis is correct by developing arguments to
support it. Analytical exposition also persuades the readers that the idea is
important matter or there is something which needs an attention.
