• An administrative user (Sponsor) creates new guest or contractor accounts,
restricted to the templates assigned by the administrator

• Two additional user types

• Guest
Account created for Guests – Typically short term

• Contractor
Account created for Contractors – Typically long term

• There are five ways to create guest and contractor accounts
o Individual
• Manually created by the sponsor
o Bulk
• File imported by the sponsor
o Conference
• Generates “N” number of Guest/Contractor accounts governed by the template created by the
administrator
o Self Registered Guest
• Account created by guest and approved by sponsor or admin
o Kiosk Mode
• Self-Serve workstation (usually placed in a public area)

• Created by the administrator to define different types of guests or contractors

o Account requirements or restrictions

accounts
• Three types of accounts
o Single Account
o Bulk Accounts
o Conference

• Guests can request and account from the Captive Portal page
o A Guest/Contractor template is assigned to the page
• Accounts can be:
o Approved or Denied by a sponsor
