A. Content Standards: Demonstrates understanding of Subtracton as ‘taking
away’ from hands-on experiences and real-life objects.
B. Performance Standards: Performs subtraction as taking away using one-
digit number.
C. Learning Competency: Demonstrate subtraction through illustration.
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson 75% of the learners will be able to:
a) Identify Subtraction using one-digit number;
b) Discuss Subtraction with objects and pictures to understand the
concept of taking away; and
c) Solve an equation of subtraction with the help of pictures.

middle Vowel”. But before that let’s
review first the vowel sound. Repeat
