Job Title: Data Solution Architect

Company: Translab Technologies Pvt Ltd

Job Overview:
Translab Technologies is seeking a Data Solution Architect responsible for designing,
implementing, and optimizing cloud-based Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA)
solutions. This individual will engage in comprehensive planning and estimation
activities, contribute to project timelines, and ensure the alignment of technical
solutions with business objectives. The SA will act as a technical subject matter
expert (SME) in cloud solutions and data architecture, with a specific focus on the
data lake, ensuring scalability, maintainability, security, and overall alignment with
enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design & Architecture:


 Lead the design and development of cloud-based data solutions, with a
primary focus on data lakes and BIA components, leveraging industry
best practices to create a robust, scalable, and secure solution.
 Define integration patterns and strategies to ensure seamless data flow
across different systems, applications, and components.
 Apply architectural, design, and engineering concepts to ensure the
solution meets operational requirements, including scalability,
maintainability, security, reliability, flexibility, and availability.
 Ensure that the solution is designed with a focus on extensibility and
flexibility, supporting future business needs and growth

2. Consultation & Expertise:


 Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on cloud solutions, and data
architecture, providing consultation for both functional and non-
functional requirements.
 Actively engage in vendor or customer discussions to ensure that
project requirements align with business objectives, both technical and
non-technical.
 Provide insights into cloud technologies, ensuring the adoption of best
practices for scalability, maintainability, and cost-efficiency.

3. Technical Leadership & Collaboration:


 Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and the PMO
to ensure technical solutions meet both business and technical
objectives.
 Ensure all technical aspects of the BIA scope are aligned with the
project’s goals, ensuring quality and consistency across the entire
solution lifecycle.
 Provide knowledge transfer and documentation related to the
architecture, design, and implementation of the data lake to relevant
stakeholders.
 Collaborate with the project team, including the technical delivery lead,
Information Architect, and Project Management Office (PMO), to define
realistic project timelines, resource requirements, and work breakdown
structures (WBS).
 Participate in estimation activities, ensuring that technical efforts are
properly accounted for and that resources are effectively allocated for
implementation tasks.

4. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:


 Create and maintain detailed documentation for the solution
architecture, design, and implementation processes.
 Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to relevant teams to ensure that
all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the technical
architecture and implementation processes.

5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:


 Engage with vendors and other external partners to evaluate potential
solutions and technologies, ensuring they align with project
requirements.
 Ensure alignment between external vendors and internal teams on
deliverables, expectations, and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information


Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in cloud
technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) are preferred.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in data architecture, 9+ years of overall


experience in data integration, analytics, business intelligence, or analytics
solutions with a focus on cloud technologies.

Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft
Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in building and managing data lakes, data
warehouses, and related solutions.

Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams, working closely with


stakeholders, and managing technical resources to ensure project success.

Technical Skills:
 Proficiency in data modeling, data lake architecture, and data
integration patterns.
 Familiarity with business intelligence tools and frameworks, including BI
solutions like Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
 Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance requirements
related to cloud data solutions.
 Expertise in designing for high availability, disaster recovery, and
scalability in cloud environments.
 Understanding of data governance concepts
 Experience working with large-scale data environments.
 Knowledge of AI/ML-driven analytics
 Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.

Location & Work Environment:


 This role is based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
 Preference for candidates located in Nova Scotia and available to work in
the AST time zone.
 Hybrid work model available based on project requirements.
