Direction: Show all necessary steps if any.

1. Describe whether or not the following is Set.


a. A collection of all vowels in English alphabet f. A collection of all colours in rain bow

d. A collection of most talented cricket players in the world
e. Collection all letters in the word MATHEMATICS.
2. In a class of 50 students, 24 like football, 21 like basket ball and 18 like cricket. 6 like football and
basket ball only, 3 like basket ball only, 5 like all three games and 14 did not like any of the three
games. Then
a. Illustrate the information on a Venn diagram
b. Find the number of students who like: i. football and cricket only ii. exactly, one of the games
3. Mathematics, English and Physics text books were distributed to 50 students in the class. 22 had
Mathematics text books, 21 had English text books and 25 had Physics text books. 7 Students had
