Vector graphics are digital art that is rendered by a computer using a mathematical formula.
Raster images are made up of tiny pixels, making them resolution dependent and best
used for creating photos
Examples of vector graphic formats are PICT, EPS, and WMF as well as PostScript and
TrueType fonts.
Popular types of raster les include JPEG, PNG, and GIF images.
(Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript le format used to transfer a graphic image between
applications and platforms. EPS les contain PostScript code as ...
In computer graphics, pixelation or pixellation is caused by displaying a bitmap or a section
of a bitmap at such a large size that individual pixels, small single-colored square display
elements that comprise the bitmap, are visible. Such an image is said to be pixelated
Bleed is a term that refers to printing that extends off the edge(s) of a printed piece. Any
printed elements — photos, color blocks, text — that bleed must extend 0.125” beyond the
trimmed edge of the piece.
Crop marks, also known as trim marks, are lines printed in the corners of your publication's
sheet or sheets of paper to show the printer where to trim the paper. They are used by
commercial printers for creating bleeds where an image or color on the page needs to
extend all the way to the edge of the paper
Resolution indicates the number of pixels that are displayed per inch for an image (or pixels
per centimeter).
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible,
readable and appealing when displayed.
RGB color mixing is the primary color mode for digital designs (like web, TV or phone les)
while the CMYK mode is used for printed designs (like T-shirts, yers or business cards).
