1. “It” indicating distance (“It” diễn tả khoảng cách)

Sử dụng “it” như một Chủ ngữ để chỉ khoảng cách từ một địa điểm này đến một địa điểm
khác.

Cấu trúc: It + is + (about) + (a number) + unit of length + (from N place to N place)

Ví dụ: It is about 10 kilometers from my house to my school.

2. Should/ Shouldn’t

Should (nên) >< Shouldn’t (không nên)

- Cách dùng:

+ Đưa ra một lời khuyên hoặc lời khuyến nghị

+ Nói về nghĩa vụ, tuy nhiên không mang mức độ mạnh bằng “must”
+ Diễn tả về xác suất và kỳ vọng

+ Nói về điều kiện trong câu điều kiện loại 1 ở dạng đảo ngữ

- Cấu trúc: S + should/ shouldn’t + Vinf.

Ví dụ 1: You have got a toothache. Perhaps you should see a dentist.

(Bạn bị đau răng. Có lẽ bạn nên gặp nha sĩ.)

Ví dụ 2: You shouldn’t buy it, it’s very expensive.

(Bạn không nên mua nó đâu, nó rất đắt.)
