 Introduction:
Community service refers to voluntary work that individuals or groups perform for the
benefit of their community or society at large. It is often non-compensatory, meaning that
participants do not receive payment for their time and effort. Instead, the primary rewards
come in the form of personal fulfillment, skill development, and the positive impact on others.
Community service can be organized by schools, religious organizations, non-profits, or civic
groups, but it can also be initiated by individuals with a desire to give back to their
community.

Benefits of Community Service:

The benefits of community service are manifold, both for the volunteers and the recipients.

For Volunteers:

 Develops important skills: team work, leadership, and communication.

About the Activity: Our day began with an insightful lecture from our professors, who
spoke about the critical role trees plays in combating environmental challenges. They
inspired us to think deeply think about the importance of reducing plastic, conserving
water and contributing to greener planet.
For this activity we were asked to bring one plant and gather in the garden one by one
and plant our plants ourselves.and water them.and take care of them.

About the Activity: Community service offers a chance to connect with others and
make a difference, however small it may be.
Our say began with an engaging session of collage, where our professors gave us
instruction and encouraged us to create handmade banners as a group which was not
only fun but also set a positive tone for the day.
We then proceeded to Ward No 2 of Inda Kharagpur, where we visited several houses
to spread awareness about conserving water, reducing plastic and many more. It was
truly an inspiring activity which taught us just how important it is for us to engage with
our community
