7.1 Safety

 Ensure all personnel are trained in demolition work and aware of the risks
associated with live MEP services.
 Use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
 Barricade the demolition area and display warning signs.
 Isolate live electrical systems and ensure all electrical panels and DBs are de-
energized before demolition.
 Conduct a pre-demolition safety briefing for all workers.

7.2 Work Sequence and Methodology

1. Pre-Demolition Inspection:
o Inspect the building structure and identify live MEP services.
o Isolate and protect live electrical systems, plumbing lines, and the septic
tank.
o Verify that all utilities (water, electricity, gas) are disconnected or isolated.
2. Demolition Sequence:
o Start demolition from the top (roof) and proceed downward to the ground
floor.
o Use the excavator with a demolition attachment to break down the
structure.
o Remove debris using dump trucks and dispose of it at an approved landfill
site.
