RESOURCES

When going to our workplace, there are things or resources that we need to get
there, especially if it is in a distant place. Now, let us start thinking about the
practicalities associated with longer stays in the workplace – one day or longer.

Direction:
1. Divide the learners into groups of 3. Explain to them that to go to a workplace,
they will need certain resources and make some arrangements in advance.

2. Brainstorm what these might include and write the ideas on a flipchart without
discussion. / Each group will list down the needed resources required to get to
work.

3.Presentation of activity: Ask the group which ones might be relevant. Then
explain they will discuss some of these in detail.
Analysis Before starting longer work exposures and work experiences, learners should think
about and familiarize themselves with the following:

 How We Will Get to Work

 Resources Required to Get to Work
Abstraction Guide Questions: Ask the learners questions leading to abstraction.

1.What is the importance of knowing these practicalities and resources before you engage in work-
based learning?
