A. Content Standards

The learner demonstrates the meanings and concepts found on the


different designs, paintings, sculptures and illustrations observing the
elements and principles of designs.
B. Performance Standards

The learner exhibits multiple artworks like paintings, sculptures, logos


and illustrations, festival designs, props and costumes.

C. Learning Competency The learner identifies the Asian characteristics of design in different
festivals.
D. Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
 Identify key elements of Asian design in relation to festivals.
 Understand how design reflects cultural traditions in Asian
festivals

A. Daily Routine

B. Establishing Purpose for the Explain the objectives of today’s lesson:

C. Presenting Examples/ Hook: Begin with a short video or image montage of different Asian
instances of the lesson festivals (e.g., Diwali's colorful decorations, Chinese New Year dragon
dances, or Songkran water festival).
D. Discussing new concepts and Discussion: Introduce the concept that festivals are rich with cultural
practicing skills # 1 symbols and design elements. Discuss how colors, shapes, patterns, and
symbols vary from festival to festival and how they represent important
cultural beliefs, values, or stories.
