We can install the applications on the main server, there ore, the user can access the applications centrally. So, we do not
need to install the so tware on every machine. Similarly, hardware can also be shared.

2 File Sharing

File sharing is one o the ma or advantage o the computer network. Computer network provides us to share the iles
with each other.

3 Back up and Roll back


Since the il es are stored in the main server which is centrally located. There ore, it is easy to take the back up rom
the main server.

4 Hardware and So tware Sharing


Network provides us to communicate over the network in a ast and e ic ient manner. For example, we can do video
con erencing, email messaging, etc. over the internet. There ore, the computer network is a great way to share our
knowledge and ideas.

5 Security
Network allows the security by ensuring that the user has the right to access the certain les and applications.

6 Scalability

Scalability means that we can add the new components on the network. Network must be scalable so that we can extend
the network by adding new devices. But, it decreases the speed o the connection and data o the transmission speed also
decreases, this increases the chances o error occurring. This problem can be overcome by using the routing or switching
devices.

7 Reliability

Computer network can use the alternative source or the data communication in case o any hardware ailure.
