deviat e wildly. In a successful scenario, t he algorit hm is able to clear out st anding FT Ds fa
reach t he 35 day (+ Bank Holidays) limit . Using t his "slow purchase" met hod, t hey are able
purchase lot s to rout e t hem in small bat ches off exchange as well as short into any purc
to make on t he LIT market .
However, in black swan cases, an ext remely large share purchase occurs. T his causes t he
"slow purchase" leading up to t he 35 day (+ Bank Holidays) legal limit . T he syst ems are de

surrounding one larger equilat eral t riangle is repeat ed as you zoom in on t he image.
In t rading t erms, a fract al pat t ern means t he up and down movement s of t he line in a long t ime scale are similar to t he overeat of

dat e was Feb 2022.
A notorious member of t he communit y who we shall call "Pickle", t heorised t he same t hing you are here, t hat t he FT D cycle had
market makers t rapped and t hat , wit h high cert aint y, t hey HAD to buy shares and t here would be a run up. I hold no ill to his

result s from t he sale of a securit y t hat a person is deemed to own and t hat such person int ends to deliver as soon as all
rest rict ions on delivery have been removed, t he firm has up to 35 calendar days following t he t rade dat e to close out t he failure
to deliver posit ion by purchasing securit ies of like kind and quant it y.
I act ually believe t here's an alt ernat ive explanat ion for t his, and it s much simpler and bot h explains t he behavior, t he kansas cit y
shuffle, and opex t ailwinds.
It s simple: Opt ions market makers - regular ass ones, not DMM's like cit adel - act ually do buy and hedge t heir shares wit h deep in
t he money calls and leaps and t hings. However because this is wall street here, it s complet ely unaccapt able to have an asset
sit t ing on your books for 2 years not doing anyt hing or earning for you. So, t hey lend it out . Provide it to short s. Earn t hat 2% or
what ever it is to make buying t he rest of t he shares to get to 100 per cont ract cheaper.
T his sat isfies t he quot ed rule about 'owns it and INT ENDS to give it over'. T hey int end to hand it - t hey just need to give t he ot her
guy t ime to find t heir shares when t hey recall t hem.
Opt ions makers are not naked. T heir -count erpart ies- are naked.
I do not believe t hey are st upid enough to risk blowing up t he firm/t he whole stock market , but I do believe t hey are willing to t ake
t hat chance on t he OT HER guy.
Anyway, richard newtons video on opex t ailwinds was great . 35 calendar days means: T he opt ion maker being a provider of short
shares t urns a regular opt ions expiry into 35(minus 2 for t he weekend, minus 2 for t he t +2 opt ion as t hey have to st art t his
process ahead of t ime, plus 1 day of slack t ime to actually set t le and/or not runafoul of regulat ions. )
T hat s it . T hat s t he shuffle.
Now as to -why- t his mat t ers: When you recall your shares, t he ot her part y -cannot borrow more-. At least , from you. It doesn't
make sense to say 'hey, we need 6 million shares back oh but also we have a few million to borrow'. T his means an opt ions expiry
window represent s not just one but several big market part icipant s reversing t he flow of usual shares, So your biggest customer
has to go to t heir third or fourth choice (not ot her opt ions makers who are ALSO calling in t heir shares, and because it s an opt ion, it
has to be a real share).
I also t hink it s possible t hat DFV has, not a margin account , but a fully paid lending account at e-t rade. T his also means t hat , in
addit ion to what t he broker does wit h his opt ions, he -also- has t he abilit y to recall his own shares and make it t he opt ion's makers
problem.
In short , deep in t he money calls and/or long dat ed calls and leaps art ifically short en t he exit window of remaining shares.
Per DFV's posit ion updat e a few weeks ago, t his would have pot ent ially been: 1.2 million in hedged but lent out shares t hrough call
opt ions, and up to 5 million in lent out shares.
This would also preclude morgan stanley(owners of e-trade, so ~probably~ their prime broker) from shorting or providing
shares/further shorts to anyone else until they fi nd 5 million shares and deliver then

Twit t er in a subsequent t weet t hread. So DFV could have exercised ~40k calls to get his shares, it ’s impossible to know for sure.

musings for your considerat ion as you develop t his:
1. Consider t he "smoot hing algorit hm" as a Failure to Receive shares at brokers, and an accept ance of perpet ual delays. Long
shares are delayed to T +6 (T +5 now), t hen t hey ent er a cycle of Finra Rex Code Reasons for Dealy t hat each is C+14 (and
you can get to 10-11 excuses before forced delivery). Short sales happen from T +4/C+35 and t hen C+14 going from t here. If
you do t hat , t hen RCs buy in lat e August lines up wit h his buys in January to hit 26t h and 28t h perfect ly.
2. Consider t hat it 's not t he buy, but t he t ransfer of shares aft er t hey are bough. ACAT is used for t his. T he idea being t hat
aft er t he shares are t ransferred from t he broker into custodian, t hen suddenly a lot of shares are pulled out of t he balance,
and suddenly firms have to demand shares, t hat t hen causes new balance problems, t hat t hen cause more issues, et c et c...
I am not a cat was RKs way of saying, I did not cause t his in a crypt ic way.
3. T he current buy pressure t hat we are seeing could be from t he T +1 set t lement changes. One of t he big changes in T +1 is
changes to t he Affirmat ion process of shares. It is very possible t hat t he smoot hing can no longer happen because brokers
are now forced to affirm recept ion of shares different ly. If I am correct in t hat ... t hen a big t ransfer out is possibly disast rous.
All of t hese considerat ions might enhance your t heory furt her - and number t wo is especially int erest ing wit h t he Cat + Bullseye
emot jis.

Took me t hree years to get my Robinhood all t ime not just green, but wit hout a percent age because I want ed to prove a point t hat I
could wrangle opt ions… but here is some advice from a guy who was insanely lucky to hold some calls during t he sneeze.
OT M opt ions are almost always priced in. Do you know why t hat AT M call is so expensive? T hat ’s because t he move is being priced
in, and t he opt ion seller is aware t hat most of you will just t hrow your capit al at weeklies enabling t hem to buy shares to fuck you
over wit h.
However, when we keep buying wit hout care, what happens is t hat t he belt slowly t ight ens unt il you realize your belt wasn’t snake
skin but an act ual snake. As ret ail slowly keeps t he buying pressure by slamming t he ask on t he lit exchanges, market makers will
observe t hat t he price will st ay high enough to put t he short posit ions at risk.
At t his point it ’s a Mexican st andoff of who will close first AGAIN. T his t ime, t hey cannot close t he buy but ton and it ’s why I’m slow
rolling GME AT M leaps and eat ing t he shit sandwich of IV crush…
T he t rue irony of what ’s happening is t hat as we t ight en up t he bid / ask by cont inuing to hammer t he ask… and Apes like me st art
acquiring slight ly OT M weeklies to keep pressure, you can’t lend out opt ions. Calls are a promise to acquire 100 share if t he
underlying is higher t han t he opt ion st rike and you can mult iply buying power t his way. So when we st art seeing us glancing back at
$40, I’ll be hammering t he weeklies to creat e more “bat ches” of 100 shares I am owed.
If t he t iming can be done correct ly, during t he next event , my opt ions can be sold for a premium OR I could exercise and
immediat ely flip t he shares back to market . I have t he liquidit y to at least put 100,000 shares under pressure.

Massive purchases t hrough dark pools are always organized by t wo part ies ahead of t ime, usually by a privat e offering bet ween
bot h part ies. T his is act ually t he int ended purpose of a dark pool, to allow for privat e sales and cert ain rebalancing wit hout causing
mayhem on t he open market .
In t his case, RK is not organizing any sale wit h a count erpart y privat ely. He has purchased his shares t hrough a broker wit h no
warning. Due to t he size of t he purchase, moving t he ent ire order off exchange should be difficult .
I suspect t hat t hey will “slow purchase” a port ion of his shares over 35 days t hrough dark pools but will have no where near enough
runway to clear all of t heir fails before t ime is up.

I like everyt hing you said here except for t he T +35 calculat ion. C+35 would be July 19t h.
T +35 would be August 5t h or t here about . If I were buying opt ions it would suck if I was a week early wit h expirat ion.
T hank you for explaining t he opt ion exercising vs. selling to buy shares. I assumed he exercised wit hout any proof. T his helped me
underst and why he probably sold t hen bought shares for a T +35 FT D cycle. It makes more sense t his way if he st ill int ends to
mult iply his posit ion by buying opt ions in t he fut ure aft er hedgies get t he price back down to fill t hat baby gap t hey left in t he $17
range.

If you're suggest ing we buy calls for July 26t h, you're wrong on many levels. First off, you want t he expirat ion dat e to be far enough
so t het a decay doesn't make t he calls wort hless in case t here is no run. Normally you want to have an expirat ion dat e t hat is 30
days minimum past when you expect t he run to occur. Also, since t hat 's weeks away, t he price will drop before t hen and t here will
be a bet t er t ime to pick up calls.
Also, IV is st ill st upid high right now so t hose calls are going to be pricey as hell. Definit ely see what happens aft er t he shareholder
meet ing because IV will crush aft er t hat anyway unless t here is a big announcement . If a big announcement happens I assume
t hat 's when t he run will st art .
Eit her t hat or t here is no announcement and we t ank and IV get s rekt . If t he price goes down enough and IV goes down, t hat 's a
bet t er call buying opport unit y

Sorry, I’m not sure where your confusion is.

Ryan Cohen’s init ial purchase was enough to push him into insider st at us; however, t he purchase needs to go t hrough for him to be
one.
He can’t make an init ial massive stock purchase in a company as an out sider but also adhere to insider rules simult aneously.
By finalizing his purchases in dec 2020, Ryan Cohen became an insider. He did not become an insider before t his purchase was
officially made. Once Ryan became an insider, he could no longer affect t he stock price in a major way. I reference t his in my post .

T here is no confusion so stop making st uff up.
Keit h Gill has almost as many shares as RC and is not an insider.
Insiders need to report to FINRA. It ’s not somet hing t hat happens ret roact ively aft er buying some “large” amount of shares.
Insider t ransact ions do not have to happen on t he open market . Hope t hat helps.

During this period, I predict that Roaring Kitty will choose the best time to purchase as many calls as possible with short
dated expirations for his expected settlement period limit.

Admit t edly we know he has more cash, but have no idea how much. He said in his st ream somet hing to t he effect of "t hese are my
only posit ions, well unless you count cash as a posit ion" and apparent ly had a fidelit y bookmark on his browser. So conceivably he
could have a significant cash pile t ucked away ready to go. I dunno how likely it is t hat he would have t hat much cash ready to go on
