Fibre Optic Dome Enclosures
Peak’s Fibre Optic Dome Enclosures are ideal for splicing cables in various applications where exposure to the
elements is required.
All domes are designed for anti-aging, anti-corrosion, flame retardant, waterproof, anti-vibration and anti-shock.
Domes are IP68 rated, sealed with Clamp and O-ring. Trays hinge for access of any splice without disturbing
other trays. Fast and reliable sealing performance, the domes are easy to open and reseal.
With lightning protection included, they can also be installed up on poles, wall mounted and placed in pits with
an option of brackets to suit.

1. Cut desired port with retractable blade
2. Sleave cable with heat shrink
3. Remove the sheath of the cable and clean sheath.
Cut the strengthen member to 50mm length.
Feed strength member through the strength member
post and tighten screw to secure in place
4. Remove loose tube and clean gell from fibre cores
Install transport tube to bare fibres
Use PVC tape to secure transport tube at base of
cable
5. Route transport tube through rear cable storage
basket and then into splice cassette
6. Route the optic fibers in the splice trays starting
from the bottom splice cassette first and progress
to the top cassette.
Splice fibres, shrink splice protectors and place the
shrunk splice protectors in the splice comb within
the splice cassette. And put on the tray lid.
7. On completion of splicing, close the top lid on the
cassette and secure all splice cassettes within the
housing using the hook and loop provided

8. Using the sandpaper provided, rough the surface
of the cable sheath and entry ports lightly. This is to
ensure the heat shrink bonds securely to the
material
9. Clean the cable sheath and ports
10. Apply the aluminum film to the cable ensuring
that it extends well past where you intend to apply
heat to the cable to shrink the heat shrink.
Ensure the aluminium film is applied evenly to the
cable with no creases or air bubbles.
Note: If you intend to install 2 cables within the oval
port, then use the branch off clips to separate the
11. Close the dome lid ensuring the O ring is
correctly sitting within the grove in the base of the
unit.
Then use the clamp to by installing in around the
union between the lid and the base of the dome.
Fold the latch in place and install the locking screw
