Presente Simple

We use present simple:

1. For daily routines.


2. For free time activities.
3. For situations that happen regularly.
4. For things that are always true.
5. For permanent situations.

6. For habits.
7. For things that are generally true.
8. For facts.
9. For repeated or regular actions in the present.
10. For daily routines.

Rules, third person singular (he, she, it)

In the present simple third person singular (he, she, it) we add es / ies/ s to the
verb:
es ies s

We add “es” to verbs We add “ies” when We add “s” to all the
ending with ch, sh, s, the verb ends with other verbs.
x, o. consonant + Y, so we
change the “Y” to “I”
and add es.

Structures
Affirmatives:
- Subject (I, you, we, they) + main verb + complement.
- Subject ( he, she, it) + main verb + (s / es /ies) + complement.
To form the negative and interrogative form of the present simple we used the auxiliary
“do”
Negative:
- Subject (I, you, we, they) + do not / don´t + main verb + complement.
- Subject ( he, she, it) + does not / doesn’t + main verb + complement.

Interrogative:
- Do + subject (I, you, we, they) + main verb + complement + ?
- Does + subject ( he, she, it) + main verb + complement + ?
