Task Context

Every intent to do academic research begins with a topic proposal. It provides an overall idea on
the significance of studying a particular issue and how the researcher intends to conduct the
research study. More importantly, it serves as the foundation of the entire research project. A good
topic proposal allows the teacher to assess the feasibility of the research project.

Task Instructions

1. With your group, bring out the titles you have made from the previous performance task
and the feedback you got from your subject teachers.

2. Formulate three topic proposals with each proposal limited to one page. The topic proposals
must be ordered according to preference.

3. Each topic proposal must have the following contents:

a. Research Title: The title must reflect the topic. It must consist of 50-100
characters.
b. Introduction: This section describes the research problem that you wish to
address. It provides background information about the project. This requires
gathering information from previous studies conducted about the topic. Do not forget
to cite the sources used in this section. This section must only consist of 1-2
paragraphs.
c. Objectives of the Study: This section contains the research objectives, which
are stated in bullet form.
d. Process Flowchart: This flowchart illustrates the proposed process in
conducting the research study. It must show an overview of the proposed methods
and techniques for qualitative data collection and analysis. It must be aligned with
the objectives of the study.

4. Encode your answers in a separate document file and the document in your respective
group folders.

5. Based on the order of the topic proposals, the rest topic proposal in the list will be subjected
to an oral defense together with a written output. The two remaining topic proposals are reserved
in case the first topic proposal is rejected after the oral defense.
