Important note:
The selection of the type and hardness suitable for the respective
application shall be agreed with the manufacturer, taking into account the
information stated in M 3342-2.
2 Material designation
Designation of an elastomer material according to M 3342 Type 1 elastomer base NR/SBR according to
Section 4, with hardness 50 Shore A and phase angle = 3.0°
Standard designation: Elastomer M 3342 - 1 - 50 - 3,0 Colour
Designation and standard number
Type as per Table 1
Hardness Shore A / density (Type 9, 10)
Phase angle, if required for function (see M 3342-2, Section 4)
If the colour is not prescribed by MAN, the parts are produced in a black version or according to the
manufacturer's standard version.
3 Release conditions
All parts of the standards series MAN 239 apply. In these standards, the release conditions and
procedures, as well as the general terms of delivery for purchased parts, are laid down.
