ABOUT THE COLLEGE
City Group of Colleges, established in 2005, has rapidly expanded to include 25 colleges, all
dedicated to delivering high-quality education to students from middle and lower-middle-class
backgrounds. We aim to drive youth’s overall development in rural and urban India. In today's
world, the increasing globalization of business, the swift growth of the Indian economy, and rapid
technological advancements have led to a surge in complex challenges. This evolution has
transformed the role of professionals into multifaceted experts. Modern professionals are not just
restricted to specific fields; they are policy planners, business advisors, mediators, negotiators,
lobbyists, effective communicators, and reformers. The service sector profession is now one of the
fastest-growing and most lucrative career paths globally. The past decade has seen a remarkable
transformation in the secondary, tertiary, and legal services sectors, particularly within the
corporate realm. At City Group of Colleges, our innovative curriculum is purposefully designed to
equip students with essential skills for profession, ensuring they are not only competent but also
ahead of the curve in current developments within the field.
DR. MAMTA SRIVASTAVA
DIRECTOR
As competition intensifies and expectations rise, we at the City Group of Colleges firmly believe in
the philosophy that "those who compete with themselves can never be surpassed." We are
dedicated to setting high benchmarks and continuously refining our processes and activities to
achieve true perfection in our students. Our vision is clear: we provide our students with
emotional, cultural, and spiritual integration, empowering them for holistic development.
Through unwavering commitment and dedication, our students emerge as exemplary role
models in society, the legal system, various industries, the business world, and agricultural and
allied sectors. We actively cultivate a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving national and
international interconnectedness and interdependencies. Our students are equipped with
effective management techniques to navigate these complexities with confidence. Our mission is
to champion knowledge and ensure the delivery of quality education to the next generation. We
relentlessly develop leadership qualities in our students, empowering them to control, direct, and
manage both human and material resources to their fullest potential. We are determined to
shape a brighter future and prepare individuals and organizations to confront upcoming
challenges with strength and social responsibility. We recognize the potential in every student
and are committed to helping them achieve their highest ambitions and life goals.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Today’s education system is not just confined to academics but also focuses on
imparting skills like personality development, confidence building, communication
skills, etiquette, etc. Cultural activities come into play in instilling these skills in the
students.
Encouraging students to participate in cultural activities is the most effective way to
inculcate personality-related skills. These include activities like dancing, singing, etc.
The cultural activities enhance the confidence level of the students thereby allowing
them to perform better. These activities develop the personality of the students and
assist them in shaping a good career. In fact, students can also leverage the advantage
of participating in various activities. GOONJ is the annual 3-day long College Fest
conducted in March. Prominent figures are invited as judges to mark this event.
Students are given ample opportunities to take part in various events like showbiz ,
literature , dexterity etc.
To reduce the stage fear of students and increase self-confidence, students are
encouraged to participate in ‘GOONJ’, the Annual Fest of the college. This fest increases
self-esteem and high creativity levels, refreshes the minds of students, and allows them
to study with more concentration. Students acquire new skills through such activities
that are useful for their lives. The students who are involved in extra-curricular
activities learn social skills, critical thinking skills, teamwork, and many other skills.
They develop better leadership skills and peer understanding.
When students are successful in cultural activities, it gives a boost to their self-esteem.
This self-esteem helps them to face the outer world more confidently. Furthermore, they
face their academic challenges in a much better way.
Healthy competition inspires students to do their best – not just good enough. When
students compete they will become more inquisitive, research independently, and learn
to work with others. They will strive to do more than is required. These abilities prepare
student for future situations of all kinds.
