Product Data Sheet

ENVI- RICKOPOX system ERS

Two Component green epoxy based floor coating.
Product Bodo Moeller Chemie Egypt has successfully developed a green epoxy based floor coatings “ ERS”
to the African market. Key ingredients are epoxy resins made from renewable feed stock and
Description:
renewable cycloaliphatic diamines. Both raw materials are sourced from leading companies and
for the diamine, Bodo Möller Chemie is even the first company to use it on industrial scale in
Africa. There was no compromise made on performance of the floor coating, however the
product has significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional products. This
means that not only is it better for the environment, but it also provides a sustainable solution for
civil engineering markets. Bodo Moeller Chemie is a leading supplier of high quality, high
performance floor coatings for demanding applications and- we are proud to pioneer
sustainability in Africa!

Applications: As a finishing coat over concrete floors & walls “ Eco- Friendly system”.

Surface All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from contamination. The surface should be
preparation: assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504.
Coated surfaces
Clean, dry and undamaged compatible primer. Please contact your local
BODO MÖLLER CHEMIE office for more Information.
Other surfaces
The coating may be used on other substrates. Please contact your local
BODO MÖLLER CHEMIE for more information.
Condition The temperature of the substrate should be minimum 10°C and at least 3°C above
during the dew point of the air, temperature and relative humidity measured in the vicinity
of the substrate. Good ventilation is usually required in confined areas to ensure
application:
proper drying. The coating should not be exposed to oil, chemicals or mechanical
stress until cured.

Application: The product can be applied by

Brush: Recommended application by brush and can be use on touch – up or stripe coating.
Roller: Recommended Roller application and can be use for scallops, rat holes, pipes etc.

Mixing ratio by Wight : 8:4 (Base: Hardener) for the clear system.
8:2 (Base: Hardener) for the pigmented system.

Pot Life, at 20ºC: 0.5 hr (reduced at higher temperature).

Drying and Drying times are generally related to air circulation, temperature, film thickness
and number of coats, and will be affected correspondingly. The figures given in the
curing time:
table are typical with:

* Good ventilation (Outdoor exposure or free circulation of air)

* Typical film thickness
* One coat on top of inert substrate
Substrate temperature 10 °C 20 °C 30 °C
Surfaces (touch) dry 12 hr 8 hr 6 hr
Hard Dry 36 h 24 h 16 h
Dry to over coat, minimum 16h 8h 6h
Full cured 14d 7d 4d
Clean surfaces thoroughly by high pressure fresh water hosing and allow drying
before over coating.
Surface (touch) dry: The state of drying when slight pressure with a finger does not
leave an imprint or reveal tackiness
Walk-on-dry (Hard dry): Minimum time before the coating can tolerate normal foot
traffic without permanent marks, imprints or other physical damage.
Dry to over coat, minimum: The shortest time allowed before the next coat can be
applied.
Dried/cured for service: Minimum time before the coating can be permanently
exposed to the intended environment/medium.

Depending on the actual exposure of the coating system, various primers and
Paint System: topcoats can be used in combination with this product. Some examples are shown
below.
Epoxy primer for wet concrete Araldite 1092.

Other systems may be specified, depending on area of use.
