Playing the Technomancer

Everything needs to be just so for the Technomancer: they depend on knowing their
place in the world and understanding all the rules that need to be followed.
Unwritten rules bother them, so they probably have them all written down
somewhere. They don’t like doubt or uncertainty and will do their best to make
everything conform to the rules they know.

It takes a steady hand and a lot of undisturbed concentration to peel away all
obfuscation and cut to the pure heart of matters (Cold 2, Volatile 1) but they could
rely on getting their inspiration from somewhere else and letting instinct guide
their hands (Dark 2, Cold 1.) Either way, their obsessively narrow viewpoint isn’t
going to be a big turn on for others and their lack of experience in matters of the
heart leaves them vulnerable to cruel manipulation.

Their Workshop is their haven and sanctuary, a place where they feel secure and in
control, where everything is known, defined and in the right place at all times, even
intruders. It’s here that they work on their secret projects, pushing the boundaries
of what is known and colonising territory in the impossible. The things they do
here blur the lines between the physical and the paranormal, but they hypocritically
ignore the contradiction in their pursuit of a scientific breakthrough. Then it breaks
out of the lab and stomps the town flat.

Finally, what is the Daedalus Cabal? Who are their representatives? What is their
agenda and why are they funding the Technomancer? These and other questions
need to be answered through play, but you can bet their support comes with a
hidden price tag.

The Technomancer
There are rules to be followed and there are rules governing the rules; knowing the rules
makes you smart, but bending them makes you powerful. Everything which is not
forbidden is allowed; everything is or is not, black & white, clear as day and night.
Whatever is not one thing must be the other, so all unknowns must be categorised.
