To engage students
with the topic of the T-Ss Teacher shows students 3 images and elicits the topic of healthy living.

● How are you today?
● How much energy do you have these days?
● What do you do to stay healthy?
T-Ss Feedback to the class. Students share with the whole class what they were talking about or
what their partner told them.
S Teach:
Matching activity- Students match 3 words in context with their definition (1 minute).
S-S Pair-check
T-Ss Feedback to the class. Teacher clarifies the meaning using CCQ’s.
S-S Pair-check
T-Ss Feedback to the class. Teacher writes the answers on the board.
S-S Pair-check. Teacher monitors and supports but doesn’t validate/give any answers.
T-Ss Feedback to the class. Teacher acknowledges answers without validating them, and asks if
everybody agrees. Teacher encourages Ss to help each other in case of dispute. Teacher
writes the record of the answers on the board.
Follow-up 20 mins
To give students an
opportunity to practise T-Ss Teacher regroups students
T-Ss Feedback to the class. Students share what they were discussing in their groups.
S-S Delayed error correction. Teacher puts some correct and incorrect sentences on the board.
T-Ss Students identify examples of good language and mistakes. Teacher elicits self and peer
correction.
