1 INTRODUCTION
When you start the system the following screen is displayed.
The screen has different sections that are divided up according to their purpose.
These sections will remain visible during transactions.
In the upper right Pump Status
corner, the
authenticated
User Info
user is shown as
well as the date
and time.

the user. The
other one in blue Work Area
contains icons
representing actions that can be selected.
To the right of the blue bar is a red button with one hand. This is used
in an emergency to stop all pumps on the forecourt.
Below that is the Authorize button, which authorizes all pumps that
are calling.
In the bottom area of the display is the work area that displays different functions as
required to complete the current task.
To log on, select the LOGIN icon from the blue bar, and select the User from the
choices at the bottom. enter the Password and click the Login button.
After pressing the Login button the system authenticates the password and logs in
the user. The system will then display the following message:

If the password is not accepted then the appropriate error message will be
displayed. All messages displayed will flash three times and then scroll from right to
left.

2 PLUG-INS OR MODULES
The Fusion Console consists of a set of components, called plug-ins or modules.
The plug-ins that make up a Fusion application are configured according to the
requirements of each application.
This manual describes the main modules. If you want to activate the functionality of
a module described here and it is currently not available to you then contact the
Wayne Help Desk.

3 MAIN MENU
This is the Main menu which shows the top level function icons representing
different actions that can be carried out. They can also represent an entry point to
sub-menu selections and functions. The function icons shown can vary according
to the plug-ins installed on your system.

4 CLOSE CONSOLE
Close Console plug-in. If the Close Console plug-in has been loaded
then this function will allow you to close the console. If the plug-in has
not been added, then the console can not be closed. Selecting Close
will bring up the confirmation window shown here that asks you to
confirm the action.

5 RESTART CONSOLE
Restart Console. This function will allow you to restart the console.
Selecting Restart will bring up the confirmation window shown here
that asks you to confirm the action.

6 CONFIGURATION
While most of the configuration of the console is done via a browser
page. There is some configuration changes that can be made from
the console. Various plug-ins will add their icons to the configuration
option shown here.

Pressing the CONFIG


button will show the different
areas that can be accessed
from the console.
z Browser
z Printer
z Sound
z Shift Config
z General View
z About

6.1 Browser
The Browser button is used to enter into system programming as well
as access to the system documentation.
Press the Browser button and the system will then display a Fusion
Login page. Login as ADMIN with the proper password and you will
then move to the Fusion Programming page.
To access the documentation,
go to Operation > Manuals/
Docs. You are then
presented with a page showing an index of Fusion documentation. Click on any of
the PDF documents shown and a PDF viewer will open with the selected document
displayed.
Use the elevator button on the right side of the page or the Up and
Down arrow buttons to scroll through the document. Press the
Printer icon to print selected pages or the entire manual.
To close the viewer, click the X in the upper right corner of the
window.

6.2 Printer
The Printer configuration area is where you can see the printer
configuration data for the printers attached to the terminal. You can
also print a printer test page from here.

To select a printer, click the


Printer icon. The icon turns
yellow and the printer information
is shown on the right. Note that if
not enough printer information is
available to be displayed in the
form then small arrows at the
bottom right of the page will scroll the available information.

6.3 Sound
Click the Sound icon to program the system sound settings which can
be programmed for four different modes:

z Off: No sound
z Alarm: Warning sounds using PC
speaker output
z All: Sounds are heard using
speakers and buzzer.
z Buzzer: Warning sounds using
internal PC buzzer.
To switch modes just click on the
selector.

6.4 Shift Configuration


Click Shift Config button to access the Shift Configuration Options.

Select the Shift Configuration
options:
* View Shifted Sales
* Do Not View Shifted Sales
Click the Set button of the option
that you want and a check mark
will appear next to the selected
option.

6.5 General View


Click General View button to toggle the pump view.

Select the General View to

between All Pumps and
Particular pumps listed
under My Pumps.

6.6 About
Click the About button to view version information.

This option does not configure


anything, but provides useful
version information about the
console. There are several
pages of data that display
every three seconds.

7 LOGIN
Click the Login button for a user to log into the system. If the Fusion
Console is just starting then the system will be directed to this Login
page first where the user selects a login ID and enters the password.

From this window the user can


either select the user icon with
their name or the user can enter
the numeric user ID in the User
field and then enter the numeric
password in the Password field,
then press the Login button.
If the operation is successful, the message below will be seen indicating Login was
successful.

The user ID appears in the upper right corner of the console. If


the authentication fails, the reasons for the failure will be
displayed in the message bar.

7.1 Change Password


At the login screen you can change the password of one of the users
listed. When you press the Change Password button the following
login window is displayed. where you can select the icon of the user
then enter the Old Password, the New Password and then the New
Password again. Click the Change button to continue.

If the change is successful you will be informed by a message in the message bar,
you will also be informed if the password change failed.

7.2 Logout
To end a session with a particular user and logout, press the Logout
button which is in the main menu. The button toggles between LOGIN
and LOGOUT.

8 WORKING WITH PUMPS


To work with pumps, you
must choose one or more
pumps in the top area of the
display. Click on a pump
icon to show details about
that pump and to display
information about the
current transaction and the
last 12 transactions at the
selected pump. The action
bar contains the available
options for the selected
pump or pumps.

You can select more than


one pump and have the transaction information for all selected pumps
be displayed in the work area. To do this, click the “+” button to enable
multiple pumps to be displayed.
The selected pumps will be indicated by the yellow border around the
pump icon.
Select all of the pumps that
you want to display sales
information for. The most
recent 12 transactions will
then be displayed in the work
area.
Click the “+” button once
again to disable the multiple
pump view.

The pump information is as follows:
z The amount of last sale ($7.43 in the example).
z The gray square, top left is the pump number (1 in the example).
z Above the pump icon indicates the amount of the last sale. Important: If a preset has been set
up then the pump icon will display the letters LTS at the bottom of the icon.
z The pump handle in the center of the image shows the pump state.
z The color of the bottom section of the icon indicates the grade of fuel of the current sale.

8.1 Pump States

8.2 Other Pump States


The following are icons represent the various states of the pump during
authorization and dispensing. These will be displayed in the pump icon window
during the transaction.

8.3 Pump Information


To request detailed information about a pump, press the Info button.
The information is then displayed for the selected pump. The
information provided is divided into four groups: Dispenser Brand,
Description, Firmware Version, and Number of Hoses.

The listed variables can change with each model of pump. Additional information is
available by using the up and down arrows to scroll the display.
If any of the information in these sections is not fully visible then you can click the
message space and the information will appear in it’s expanded form at the bottom
of the page.
The bottom field shows the last error reported by the dispenser and the date that it
occurred.

8.4 Closing a Pump


A pump can be closed by pressing the Close button. This will prevent
the pump from operating. As shown in the picture, once the pump has
been closed it’s icon will be greyed out.

8.5 Open a Pump


When a pump is closed you can open it by pressing the Open button.

8.6 Authorizing a Pump


If the dispenser is in self service, the pump will authorize itself on
nozzle lift.
If the pump requires cashier authorization the pump will authorize
after the cashier presses the Authorize button. The pump icon
changes to green to indicate that the pump has been authorized. The
Authorize button now toggles to Deauthorize.

8.7 Deauthorize a Pump


To deauthorize a pump that has been authorized, press the
Deauthorize button. The pump will return to the idle state.

8.8 Preset
If you want to authorize a pump by an exact amount of volume or
money, use the Preset button. When you select Preset, a form is
then displayed where you input the required information to complete
the preset transaction. Select between “$” (money amount) and “Ltr”
(volume amount) for the preset type, then select the amount by
using the keypad. Press the Send Preset button to complete the preset.

the local currency.
If the volume is in
liters or gallons the display will reflect the local volume measurement. The "All"
indicates that any type of fuel may be dispensed in the preset. If one wishes to
choose one type of fuel, they are available on the left side of the display.
With the keypad, you can choose the value of the amount or volume which was
chosen as previously. You can also load a full tank, using the Full button.

8.9 Stop Pump


To stop using the pump press the Stop button. This stops the
operation of the pump changes the pump to a Stop state. And it adds
the action Clear Stop to the Action bar.

8.10 Clear a Stopped Pump


This action reverses the stop pump action and returns the pump to
the idle state.

8.11 Prepay
Prepay is active only if the plug-in tickets module has been loaded.
This option allows the prepayment. The authorization sets the pump
in a prepay state and issues a ticket for the transaction.

9 SALES OPERATIONS
Under each pump, you can view the last 12 sales and perform a number of actions
on them.

z The sales icon.
z The gray box indicates the amount of the sale.
z The box color indicates the volume, and color of the box indicates the fuel grade.
The sales area displays additional information as follows:

This information does not normally display until you click on a particular sale. Click
any sale and the additional sales info will be displayed.

z Pump Test - Convert the sale into a Pump Test
z Fast Ticket - Pay the sale with cash
z Add to Ticket - Pay the sale using a sales ticket

10 PAYMENTS MODULE
The module handles the payments for fuel sales. When this module is operating it
will mark the payment type for the sale, and check that all sales are paid at closing.

10.1 Managing Sales with Payment Module


As with the form of payment, when you select one or more pumps, you can view the
last 12 sales. Then you can take a number of actions on them.

Each sale will display the following information:


z The image represents the state of the sales and pumps
z The gray box indicates the amount of the sale ($7.43) in the image)
z The box color indicates the grade and the volume amount of the sale.
z A lamp icon indicates a previous sale that has yet to be paid in a long time.
Notices of unpaid sales are part of the payment module. When a sale has
completed and a reasonable time has elapsed without being paid, the warning
lights up and looks like a lamp next to the icon, and at the pump that contains it.
Below are some examples of the Sales payment icons:

Click on a sale to show additional sales information as shown below:

If the information does not fall within the assigned area, you can make one click
and the information will be displayed fully.

10.2 Paying Off Sales


Paying off outstanding sales requires that you first select the sale that

you wish to pay off by clicking the Unpaid Sale icon.

z Pump Test
Used when product is returned to
the tank following a pump test.
z Fast Ticket
Used to pay the sale with cash.
z Add to Ticket
Used to pay the sale using a sales ticket.
Click Add to Ticket and the following
window will be displayed.
Click Cash then Enter to finalize the
sale as Cash or
Click Credit then Enter two times to
finalize the sale as Credit.

10.3 Refund
A payment refund can be done by using this button. The previous
sale will be undone and the sale will be restored to it’s unpaid state.
This function is available under the Go to Ticket function.

10.4 Go to Ticket
The Go to Ticket function is used to review the last 12 tickets that
have been processed. The individual tickets can be reviewed, printed
or refunded.

Click Go to Ticket
and the following
screen will be
displayed. Click on
any individual ticket
and the ticket details
are then displayed in
the ticket window.

10.5 Pump Test
A sale can be paid off using the Pump Test button. In this case no
payment is made and the product is returned to the fuel storage tank.

10.6 Clear Pump Test


A sale that was previously paid off using the Pump Test button can be
undone and the sale restored to it’s unpaid state.

11 SHIFT MODULE
The handling of the shift close can be controlled from the main menu
Shift button.

When selected, the work


area will display four
calendars, indicating the
date and closing time
period; yearly, monthly, daily
and shift respectively.
You can choose any of these
shift closures by pressing
the Shift button for the
period you wish to close.
Use Pay All to pay any
outstanding sales before
closing the shift. Also use
Shift Config to display or
not to display any shifted
sales.
Once you close a shift, the sales are closed, depending on the configuration
chosen these sales may continue to be seen (with a paperclip showing this
condition) or not.

11.1 Shift Report
Click the Shift Report button to print a Shift Report.

12 CLEAN THE SCREEN


Clean Screen can be used when you want to physically clean the
screen without pushing any of the buttons.
The screen will display a gray image with the Fusion logo. To
deactivate press the button labelled 1 and then the button labelled 2
and the screen will return to it’s previous state.
