In this section a question is given followed by two or more statements. The question can be on any topic like
Blood relation, Direction tests, Seating arrangements, Coding, Reasoning, Arithmetical operation etc. The
statements contain some facts which provide clues to answer the question. Students need not answer the
question. They are required to find which of the given statement/s is/are sufficient to answer the question.
Some times it may not be possible to answer the question with the information given in all the statements
together. In such cases they should conclude that the given statements are not sufficient to answer the
question.

I In the code language ‘sa ka pa’ means paper is white

II In the same code language ‘nak pa tak’ means he is smart.

Solution

Statement I alone or statement II alone is not sufficient to answer the question, as the order of the code,
need not be the same as that of the order of words.

We observe that ‘is’ in the common word in the statements ‘paper is white’ and ‘he is smart’. So, the
common code in their codes (in this case ‘pa’) should be the code of ‘is’.
