In "Nelson Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom," courage is portrayed through Mandela’s resilience in the
face of immense adversity. His willingness to fight against apartheid, despite the risk of imprisonment
and persecution, showcases his deep moral strength. Mandela’s courage stems from his commitment
to justice, which ultimately leads to the liberation of his people.

In "The Black Aeroplane," the pilot demonstrates courage by navigating through a dangerous storm,
trusting an unknown guide to lead him to safety. His bravery is shown through his calmness under
pressure, despite the uncertain outcome.

Both characters’ courage reveals their inner strength and determination. Mandela’s struggle is a long,
arduous fight for freedom, while the pilot’s challenge is more immediate but equally perilous. Their
achievements—Mandela’s triumph over apartheid and the pilot’s safe landing—highlight the
importance of perseverance and faith in the face of fear.

appear rich at a party leads her to borrow a necklace, which she later loses, causing her and her husband
to plunge into years of hardship. Ironically, the necklace turns out to be fake, teaching Matilda a hard
lesson: her vanity and lack of contentment led to unnecessary suffering. The story highlights the value
of contentment, showing that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in appreciating what one
has.
