The Union put forth the following demands for discussion in the
meeting:
1. Regarding regularization of outsource workers
working in APDCL:
The Union put forth the matter of
regularization of the outsource workers working in
APDCL, citing the reference of Uma Devi Court case.
In this regard the Hon'ble Chairman
informed that there is no such provision for
regularization of outsourced workers. However, the Hon'ble Chairman directed the HR
Department to explore if there is any such rule or provision or
regularization with reference
to the Uma DeviCase.

2. Regarding Fix Pay:

CGM(HRA),APDCL informed that professional taxes are being
deducted as per norms, for which the remuneration gets reduced.
However, the Hon'ble Chairman, APDCL has instructed to review the matter and to
check if any other deduction is made apart from professional tax.
3. Regarding cancellation of 89 days tenure of engagement:
The Union proposed cancellation of the present practice of 89 days tenure of
engagement and requestedfor fixed pay engagement without any break.
In this regard the Hon'ble Chaiman, APDCL stated that the feasibility would be
checked.

4. Regarding publishing of the 2nd list of outsource workers for enhancement of their
monthly remuneration:

The CGM(HRA),APDCL informed that the matter has already been placed before the
BOD.APDCL in the last meeting.

5. Regarding yearly increment of remuneration of outsource workers in APDCL.

Inthis regard the Hon'ble Chairman, APDCL stated that there was no existing rule of
yearly increment of outsource workers and also stated that time to time enhancement in
their remuneration would be done in line with the Govt. of Assam.

6. Regarding migration of around 40 nos. of outsource workers from direct payment


to payment under contractor.

In this regard the Hon'ble Chairman, APDCL stated that the matter shall be review ed.
