Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Master’s degree in Water resource and environmental
management program at The University of Twente starting in September 2024.

After I reviewed the graduate programs and consulted with my project manager, I am
confident that your university has an excellent GIS and earth observation science for water
resource and environmental management program and that best meets my goals because I
am interested in acquiring knowledge in remote sensing and focus on water.

Climate change and water scarcity are producing the most dramatic consequences in
developing countries. Good water management can drive growth and poverty reduction, and
help deal with climate shocks. Without radical reform to how water is managed and
allocated, the competition will increase, exacerbating water scarcity and pushing costs up,
especially for the poor.

To help out the scarcity of qualified professionals, I am intending to acquire expertise and
knowledge by going through MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation to
solve the water resource and environmental problems in my country.

I believe that my academic record and service work make me a good candidate for the
scholarship.

Yours sincerely
