1. This question paper contains- five sections A, B, C, D and E. Each section is compulsory. However, there

36. A student appears in in the final examination for the
subjects English and Hindi. The probability that he will
pass in both English and Hindi is 0.5 and the probability 4(1+1

that he will pass neither Hindi nor English is 0.1. The
probability of passing the English subject is 0.75.

(i) Name the octant in which the kites A and C lie
and find the distance between them.

(ii) Find the coordinates of point D of fourth kite
