Attention before use
The key components of the product are all glass and fragile.Components that need careful handling:
1. vacuum valves: valves with black plastic caps are needle valves. Be careful in operation, operate slowly when
swinging, do not push hard into the top when closing,as long as stop feeding or not leak, otherwise the glass is
easy to break.
2. Vacuum pump system: When opening or closing the vacuum system, it must be done in the order specified in
the operating instructions, otherwise the vacuum system will be damaged.
3. Before starting the vacuum system, liquid nitrogen or dry ice should be injected into the glass cold hydrazine,
which is about 2/3 high. Some light components condensed should be frozen and condensed, so as not to be
sucked into the pump by the vacuum system and damage the performance of the pump. And the light
components condensed in the cold hydrazine should be removed in time when there is no liquid nitrogen or
refrigerant in the cold hydrazine after the pump system is closed.
4. The requirements for handling materials are:
The main body of distillation is made of all glass materials, which is fragile, difficult to disassemble, and its
structure is complex and not easy to clean. Therefore, it is required that after heat distillation and separation, no
matter the recombinant or light components, they must be easy to clean, such as distilled water or ordinary
organic solvent (ethanol) can be cleaned by elution method.
Because the main body of distillation is made of all glass and the skeleton of the rotor is 316L (C276 material
can be customized), it is not required to be cleaned with strong alkaline or acid cleaning solution. If the material
is strongly alkaline or strongly acidic, the service life of the equipment will be reduced after use.
Because the sealing ring of the vacuum valve is FKM material, some organic solvents corrode the sealing ring.
When using organic solvent distillation, pay attention to the corrosion of sealing rings. If it is corroded, please
replace the sealing rings in time or customize the sealing rings of special materials.
5. When feeding to the distillation unit, attention should be paid to: because the feeding tank is located above the
device and has a higher position, when feeding directly into the feeding tank, stand on a stool, and then pay
attention to:
When feeding, prevent falling objects such as containers, etc., and destroy the following glass parts.
When feeding, people should stand firm to avoid falling and break the glass parts in the middle.
6. When unloading bottles, pay attention to: because the collection bottles and interfaces are made of glass, easy to
break, so the operation should be gentle, do not be anxious.
7. Cleaning after work: Every day after work, the whole device must be cleaned. If the acceptance bottle's interface is
grinding, a clean strip of paper should be inserted between the grinding connection to prevent the glass grinding from
sticking and not opening after a long time of use.
8.All non-movable parts of the equipment shall not be disassembled without the permission of the
administrator/instrument company; all parts, especially the fixed parts of the instrument company, are disposable and
generally not disassembled at will. When disassembly is needed, it is better to ask the installation engineer of the
instrument company to come to the door or video guide the person who has experience in the installation of the
equipment.
I. operation methods of components
A. Feed tank heater
If the viscosity of the material to be separated is not high, it can flow freely down from the feeding barrel, and the
heater can not be opened, that is, the material is not heated.
If the viscosity of the material to be separated is high and it is difficult to flow freely down from the feeding barrel, it
should be opened, i.e. the material should be heated.
1. Turn on the power supply of the feed heater
(1) Set the temperature of the circulating heating oil in the feeding heater, that is, the temperature of the heat
conducting oil in the jacket of the feeding barrel. Set the method: After pressing the SET key, press the number to be
changed to increase or decrease the temperature, and wait for the digital flicker in the display screen to find that the
temperature number is increasing or decreasing until the required temperature is reached.
(2) Open the loop button
(3) Turn on the heating button
B.Heater of main distiller
Control the temperature of the heat conducting oil in the jacket of the main distiller, that is, heating the materials to
be separated.
1. Turn on the power supply.
2. Setting the temperature of the circulating heating oil in the heater, that is ,the temperature of the heat conducting
oil in the jacket of the distiller. Setting method: After pressing the SET key, using the number to be changed,
pressing the increase or decrease temperature, and waiting for the digital flicker in the display screen, it
can be found that the temperature number is increasing or decreasing until the required temperature is reached.
3. Turn on the circulation button.
4. Open the heating button.
B.Thermostat with built-in condenser
Control the temperature of the refrigerant in the internal condenser, that is, cooling the light components.
1. Turn on the power supply.
2. Setting the temperature of the refrigerant circulating in the cryogenic machine, that is, the temperature of the
refrigerant in the snake-shaped coil. Setting method: After pressing the SET key, use and move the
number to change, press the increase or decrease temperature, and wait for the digital flicker in the
display screen, you can find that the number is increasing or decreasing until the required temperature is reached.
3. Turn on the circulation button.
4. Open the heating or cooling button.
C.Cryogenic machine for external condenser
Control the temperature of the refrigerant in the external condenser and cool the light components.
1. Turn on the power supply.
2. Setting the temperature of the refrigerant circulating in the cryogenic machine, that is, the temperature of the
refrigerant in the snake-shaped coil. Setting method: After pressing the SET key, use and move the
number to change, press the increase or decrease temperature, and wait for the digital flicker in the
display screen, you can find that the number is increasing or decreasing until the required temperature is reached.
3. Open the "RUN/STOP" button.
D. operation method of vacuum pump system
1) single stage pump operation mode
When the molecular weight of the separated material is low and the vacuum is not required, it can be operated in a
single stage pump mode.
Pump start-up steps:
1 Closing valves: F2, F3, F6, F7, F8
2 Open valves: F3, F4, F9
3 Start the vacuum pump power supply of the control box, turn on the button, then open the F10 valve;
Pump shutdown sequence:
4 First close F10, then press the vacuum pump power shutdown button of the control box.
5 If the system is at normal pressure, the exhaust valve can be opened.
6 If the pump is started again, F8 can be closed first, then the power supply can be started, and finally the
F10 can be opened.
2) Operation mode of two-stage pump system
When the molecular weight of the material to be separated is high and the vacuum degree is high, it can work in the
way of double pump system.
Pump start-up step
7 Closing valves: F2, F3, F6, F7, F8
8 Open valves: F3, F4, F9
9 Open button of power supply of vacuum pump and diffusion pump on start-up control box and electrify
10 When the vacuum gauge shows < 0.2 mbar pressure, the two pumps start to work.
11 In the case of no-load use, if the vacuum gauge shows that the system pressure is greater than or equal to
0.2 mbar, explain where the system leaks, should find out the cause of the leak, and then use it after repair.
12 In the case of material, the vacuum gauge shows that the pressure of the system is more than 0.2 mbar,
which indicates that there are more light components in the material. Solutions: 1. Stop feeding and evaporate the
material by thin film; 2. Reduce feeding speed and rotational speed, and then pour the light components or
recombinant components into the feeding tank for secondary distillation after distillation.
Pump shutdown sequence:
13 First, the power supply of the diffusion pump can be turned off, and the power supply shutdown button of
the diffusion pump on the control box can be pressed.
14 Close F3, i.e. stop feeding
15 Close the power supply of the diffusion pump for 15 minutes, then turn off the F8, then turn off the F9, and
finally press the shutdown button of the vacuum pump power supply of the control box.
(4) If there is a lifting platform under the collection bottle, the height of the lifting platform can be lowered after the
sealing parts are taken out, so that the collection bottle can be easily taken out.
13.Cleaning of distillation unit.
(1) Re-empty collection bottles are packed to the outlet of the distiller, then the sealing parts are sleeved and the
upper nuts of the sealing parts are fastened (if there is a lifting platform, the lifting platform is raised first, and then
the sealing parts are fastened);
(2) Take the appropriate cleaning fluid, inject it into the feeding tank, open F3 (if necessary, rotate the rotor), and
make the cleaning fluid flow through the interior for cleaning;
(3) After cleaning, collect bottles from all places and dispose of the cleaning liquid according to the requirements of
three wastes treatment in the laboratory. The cleaning collection bottle is installed at the outlet of the distiller device.
(4) Close the power supply of distillation heater and refrigerator.
14.Treatment of condensate in liquid nitrogen/dry ice cold trap jacket: When the liquid nitrogen/dry ice in the cold
trap disappears, the light components condensed in the jacket will liquefy, open the collection bottle, transfer the
liquid in the collection bottle, and dispose according to the requirements of three wastes treatment in the laboratory.
After processing, the clean collection bottle is assembled as it is.
