be regarded as a self-paying student should your NSFAS funding confirmation not be available
during your registration period, however, your registration deposit will be refunded towards the
end of the academic year if NSFAS has confirmed your funding.
STUDENT FINANCE
Please note: Paying the minimum registration fee does not guarantee that a space will be reserved
or implies that you are registered.
A minimum initial payment of R1 500 is payable by self-funded students, before academic
registration, as the first instalment of the total tuition fees charged. A compulsory advance payment
of R1 200 is payable by self-funded students before residence registration.
Students whose fees are paid by a sponsor, bursary, or employer will be required to pay the
minimum initial payment if no letters are received upon registration.
Students who have applied to NSFAS for funding and have received a confirmation from NSFAS,
will be allowed to register without paying the minimum initial payment. If there is no NSFAS funding
confirmation as yet, please pay the R1 500 registration fee to avoid losing your space.
That payment, less R220 shall be refunded only if a prospective student is prevented from
registering for a valid reason for example, if he/she fails, Grade 12.
