Why You’ll Love Working Here:

As a key member of our DBA team, you will play a pivotal role in database
migration, optimization, and maintenance, ensuring that our data
management processes are both efficient and secure. You’ll be responsible
for migrating Oracle databases to PostgreSQL, developing data migration
strategies, and working with a variety of database environments both on-
premises and in the cloud. With a flexible hybrid work schedule, you’ll enjoy
a blend of in-person collaboration at our Hyderabad, India office, along with
the flexibility of remote work.

What You’ll Do:

 Database Migration:

o Design and implement solutions for migrating databases from


Oracle to PostgreSQL.

o Perform complex PL/SQL code migration, including Packages,


Procedures, and Functions, to PostgreSQL.

o Develop strategies to ensure a seamless transition with minimal


downtime.

o Assess Oracle database complexities and estimate migration


efforts.

 Database Management and Optimization:

o Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and


query optimization.

o Handle day-to-day administration tasks for Oracle (11g, 19c) and


PostgreSQL databases.

o Perform backups, recovery, and patching of critical databases.

o Manage and maintain Oracle databases in on-prem (ODA), AWS


Cloud, and OCI Cloud environments.
o Implement disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard
and execute DR exercises.

 Collaboration and Security:

o Work with cross-functional teams to support ongoing database


operations and projects.

o Ensure data integrity and security by implementing access


controls and encryption measures.

o Maintain and update database security protocols regularly.

o Deploy and manage database user accounts and structures with


high-level security features.

 Automation and Monitoring:

o Automate database maintenance tasks using PL/SQL and shell


scripting tools.

o Utilize database monitoring tools such as Oracle EM Cloud


Control.

o Analyze and interpret AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports for


performance tuning.

o Experience with RAC, Data Guard, multi-tenant databases, and


bi-directional GoldenGate setups.

Who You Are:

You’re an analytical problem solver with a passion for database


management and optimization, ready to take on complex challenges
with expertise and innovation. If you have:

 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, with a focus


on 11g and 19c.

 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

 Hands-on experience with Oracle database software installation,


configuration, and upgrades.

 Experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, migration, and


optimization.
 Solid understanding of Oracle architecture and experience with
partitioning and Oracle Multi-tenant architecture.

 Proficiency with Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and Oracle backup and
recovery scenarios.

 Knowledge of database monitoring tools and reporting (AWR, ASH,


ADDM).

 Ability to automate tasks with PL/SQL and shell scripting.

 Preferred knowledge of ExaCC and experience with Goldengate setups.
