Journal for Lesson 1
Inclusive education is defined also to the education
system in which a normal student spends most of his/her
time in school with a differently-abled student. In other
words, inclusive education is opposed to giving education
to children with special needs differently from normal
children.
Equality is not just giving everyone the same things,
but giving people what they need. There are 4 programs
that belongs to inclusive education, the SPED for special
education, ALS for alternative education system, IPED for
indigenous people’s education and MADRASAH/ALIVE a
program for Muslim learners.
There are principles of inclusive education that all
students must be threaten equally and it aims to develop
and improve the potentials of all learners.
Journal for lesson 2
Special education also called special need education,
the education of children who differ socially, mentally, or
physically from the average to such an extent that they
require modifications of usual school practices.
The goals of special education are to help the
exceptional children to learn and acquire necessary skills
for their self-help, independent living and leading future
life as properly as possible. To help them to acquire
necessary social skills, emotional literacy to live and
participate in school, home and community life is properly
as possible.
There are types of education setting for LSENs,
Segregation which learners are separated in classroom
because of their disability, Integration is when all learners
with special needs fit or socialize with his/her classmates,
Inclusion-learners with special needs should be in a
classroom to interact with non-disabled peers.
