THE
SEASON OF
“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 5:20).
In your life, you must learn to count your blessings and be genuinely grateful to the Lord for all He's done in your life. A grateful heart is very
important to the Lord. Some people hardly appreciate or recognize when they're making progress or when God is doing something beautiful
in their lives. It's because they're negatively programmed. They'll rather wear a worried look, troubled all the time, only seeing their inabilities
and what they don't have.
Take stock of your life from the beginning of the year till now, for example, and you'd discover how much progress you've made. I'm sure you've
learnt some new things; your knowledge and understanding of God's Word improved. Perhaps you used to always arrive late to work or for
meetings; but at the beginning of the year, you decided to work on it. Now, you're always punctual; these are blessings the Lord has made
possible for you that you should be grateful for. Never think that such blessings are insignificant. Perhaps your prayer life has become richer;
you pray better than you used to; that's a huge blessing. Always consider these and other improvements the Spirit of God has brought into
your life; centre your mind on them and be grateful.
Be thrilled by such blessings as the ministry and work of the Holy Spirit in your life! That's greater than any material blessing or promotion you
could ever get. In fact, it's what will give rise to all other kinds of material blessings and promotions. Therefore, learn to be content and grateful
for all things, serving the Lord joyfully, irrespective and independent of circumstances.
Thanksgiving brings about wholeness. When you thank God for something, you receive a wholeness of whatever it is. There are 3 categories of
people when it comes to Thanksgiving:
A. People who can't wait to give thanks because of all the Lord has done. (Psalm 54:6-7 TPT)
B. People who acknowledge that the Lord has been good, but there are yet some things that have not finished and when He finishes it, they
will thank Him. (Philippians 4:6KJV)
C. People who are currently in the midst of trouble and are wondering “HOW?” while they are in the midst of challenge, they can give thanks.
(Jeremiah 30:18 MSG)
-BRING AN OFFERING – Decide on what you want to give to the Lord. Give an offering. (Deuteronomy 16:16 -17 AMP) ...they shall not appear
before the Lord empty-handed. Everyman shall give as he is able, in accordance with the blessings which the Lord your God
has given you
Excerpts from “Rhapsody of Realities” by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. D.S.C, D.S.C, D.D
AFFIRMATIONS
I affirm that my heart is full of joy and thanksgiving! The Spirit of God has separated me from the
destruction that ruins men's lives and the judgment that works in the lives of men, having been
identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. I am like a tree planted by the waters,
ever in blossom. I flourish like the palm tree, with grace and glory! My life is upgraded and
programmed by the Word and I am living a life that is full of possibilities.
I am in Christ; therefore, I see life differently, I see all trials and challenges that come my way as bread.
Hallelujah! No force has the ability to defeat me or throw me off balance because greater is He that lives
in me than he that is in the world. I am more than a conqueror, and I live each day with confidence,
knowing that all of heaven and the power of divinity are working for me, and for my good.
I am a burning and a shining light; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. I am full of passion for
extraordinary impact with the Gospel of Christ. I am lifted and transported by the Holy Ghost into the
glorious and higher realms of life, where I only see and relate with the realities of the Kingdom.
Blessed be God. Hallelujah!
