Figure 16 & 17 represents the simulation result after


connecting D-STATCOM to the circuit with the help of a
three-phase breaker after 0.08 second, one can take note of the
decrease in harmonic components in the source current after
0.08 second of interval.
D. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) Analysis

Figure number 14 illustrate simulations result for the Load


current, Load voltage along with Source current distribution
statcom is turned off [7]. Harmonic distortions are noticeable
in the source current as a result for the nonlinear load [7].
Without shunt active power filter, the harmonic distortion is
28.33 %. Figure 15 shows the simulation result for Vdc (d.c
Link voltage) for the PI controller whose value is 150 volt.
